Summary: This study focuses on the synthesis of new materials for non-enzymatic electrochemical microsensors using laser methods for the rapid analysis of biological fluids. It specifically looks at the deposition and structure of bimetallic complexes, with a particular interest in complexes containing multiple transition metal ions. The research indicates a promising area of study for understanding the structures of bimetallic tartaric complexes in solutions containing various metal ions.

Summary: The study demonstrates an enantioconvergent radical C(sp(3))-S cross-coupling reaction using chiral tridentate anionic ligands and Cu(I) catalysts. This method provides a broad substrate scope, high enantioselectivity, and access to useful alpha-chiral alkyl organosulfur compounds with different sulfur oxidation states, serving as a complementary approach to known asymmetric C(sp(3))-S bond formation methods.

Summary: Recent experimental evidence indicates that during N-2 reduction, the FeMoco of nitrogenase undergoes structural rearrangement, leading to the generation of coordinatively unsaturated iron sites. New designed ligands have shown the potential flexibility in structural arrangement of metal complexes, mimicking the resting state of nitrogenase.

Summary: Researchers are seeking new alternatives to meet the ever-growing needs of sensing technology, with the glucometer standing out as a flagship in commercial electrochemical sensing platforms due to its selectivity, reliability, and portability. Biomimetic materials offer a promising approach for robust and sensitive electrochemical biosensors, while enzyme-based biosensors face commercial limitations due to enzyme denaturation and costly extraction/purification procedures.

Summary: The pro-ligands react with [RhCl(CE)(PPh3)2] to form bimetallic complexes, which undergo double C-H activation to form N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) pincer complexes. Reduction and treatment with tritylium, ferrocenium or triphenylcyclopropenium tetrafluoroborates result in the formation of mononuclear NHC pincer complex salts. Treatment with lithium (trimethylsilyl)acetylide provides another bimetallic species, which can be obtained from [RhCl(RPm)] and LiCuCSiMe3.

Summary: This article introduces a new series of bimetallic platinum-(II) complexes with NHC-type bridging ligands, which exhibit cytotoxicity, cell accumulation, and DNA binding properties in cancerous cells. These complexes demonstrate significant radiosensitizing effects by inhibiting DNA repair mechanisms, leading to persistent accumulation of irradiation-induced DNA damages. This study provides the first in vitro evidence for the radiosensitizing properties of NHC-platinum complexes, suggesting their potential use in combined chemo-radiotherapy protocols.

Summary: Five neutral nickel(II) bimetallic models of the active site of [NiFe]-hydrogenase supported by tridentate sulfur-rich RNS2 ligands were synthesized and tested as electrocatalysts for proton reduction. The b-type complexes with bulky substituents exhibit better catalytic activity compared to the a-type complexes without bulky substituents. This suggests a relationship between the dimer conformation and its catalytic activity, with the Ni center dot center dot center dot Ni cooperative effect playing a crucial role.

Summary: Platinum(II) complexes exhibit unique photophysical behavior due to their square-planar geometry. The photophysical properties of monometallic platinum(II) complexes are dependent on concentration, while those of bimetallic complexes are dependent on the distance between metal centers. This study reveals a correlation between the electronic and photophysical properties of monomeric monometallic platinum(II) complexes and their aggregates with corresponding bimetallic complexes.

Summary: Metalloenzymes have achieved precise arrangements of secondary sphere non-covalent interactions through the iterative process of evolution. However, synthesizing scaffolds that display complex secondary sphere elements in abiotic systems can be challenging and time-consuming. To overcome this, researchers have developed a highly modular and rapid synthetic strategy using solid-phase peptide synthesis and non-canonical residues to construct a ligand platform with multiple, diverse functional groups in the secondary coordination sphere.

Summary: This study reported a series of cyclometalated platinum(II) complexes with unique photophysical properties, investigating their luminescent, chiroptical, and self-assembly behaviors. An isodesmic growth mechanism was found for their self-assembly process, and the chiral sense of the enantiomers could be transferred and amplified via intermolecular noncovalent interactions. Distinctive phosphorescent properties and nanostructured morphologies were observed for enantiomers 4R and 4S, supported by various analytical techniques.
