Summary: Fatigue and pain are common side effects affecting the quality of life in cancer survivors. Perceived injustice plays a significant role in these side effects, but research on cancer survivors is limited. This study aims to establish a clinically relevant cut-off for perceived injustice and examine its relationship with personal characteristics, symptoms, and quality of life in cancer survivors.

Summary: The purpose of this pilot study was to assess the feasibility and efficacy of immersive virtual reality (VR) as an adjunctive therapy to alleviate physical and psychological symptoms in women with metastatic breast cancer (MBC). The results demonstrated that VR interventions offer enduring benefits to the physical and psychological well-being of women with MBC. VR interventions are a feasible and acceptable intervention that can be conducted in a patient's own home.

Summary: Colon cancer survivors may experience decreased quality of life and psychological well-being, including fatigue, depression, and anxiety as post-treatment consequences. However, there is limited quantitative data on the health outcomes of Tunisian colon cancer survivors. Therefore, holistic and multi-disciplinary care is crucial for these patients.

Summary: While preclinical studies showed some efficacy of high-dose IVC on tumors, human studies on advanced-stage cancer patients did not find positive effects, indicating that the rationale for using IVC to enhance chemotherapy remains unproven.

Summary: The study found that symptom perception significantly affects functioning, with experienced symptoms indirectly affecting somatic sensations but not directly associated with disability. A complex model with first-order (somatic sensation) and second-order (experienced symptoms) factors provided a good fit, better conceptualizing the structure of symptoms.

Summary: The chronic pain score (CP score) has been translated and validated in a cohort of colon cancer patients. The score demonstrated good convergent and discriminative validity, and was able to differentiate between different genders and age groups. It also showed the ability to identify patients with a major impact on quality of life.

Summary: The study aimed to examine the effects of an 8-week yoga therapy on fatigue in cancer patients. Results showed that yoga therapy was effective in reducing cancer-related fatigue, particularly in the physical aspects of fatigue. Women with breast cancer seemed to benefit the most, and a higher attendance rate led to a greater reduction of fatigue.

Summary: This study examined the relationship between tobacco use and symptom burden in cancer survivors. The results showed that both smoking and vaping were associated with increased fatigue, pain, and emotional problems. However, the symptom burden did not affect the survivors' interest in quitting smoking. Future research should focus on the role of tobacco cessation in improving symptom burden and quality of life.
