Summary: LAG-3 expression in non-small-cell lung carcinoma is associated with CD8(+) T-cell count and PD-L1 expression, with high LAG-3 expression linked to smoking history, high T stage, aggressive pathologic features, and lack of EGFR mutation in adenocarcinomas. High LAG-3 and LAG-3/CD8 index are associated with worse overall survival in the entire resected tumor cohort and in adenocarcinomas. High CD8 is linked to better overall survival in squamous-cell carcinomas. The predictive impact of LAG-3 in non-small-cell lung carcinoma varies by histotype.

Summary: This meta-analysis demonstrates that high circZFR expression is associated with unfavorable overall survival and clinicopathologic parameters including tumor size, clinical stage, lymph node metastasis, and histology grade, suggesting it as a promising prognostic factor in cancers.

Summary: In patients with cHL, higher SF levels are associated with markers of advanced/aggressive disease, and are significantly elevated in male, older patients, those with high BMI and mixed cellularity histology. The strongest correlation was found between SF and CRP levels, with elevated SF levels, advanced stage, and high LDH being independent prognostic factors.

Summary: The study demonstrates the prognostic value of initial total metabolic tumor volume (TMTV) in predicting outcomes for patients with advanced-stage Hodgkin's lymphoma (HL). TMTV is useful for predicting 5-year progression-free survival and PET response after chemotherapy, and remains a baseline prognostic factor even when considering other treatment variables.

Summary: This study reveals the association of TRIM6 expression with prognosis in gliomas. TRIM6 promotes the viability, clonogenic potential, migration, and invasion of glioma cells. It is also linked to cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction and the abundance of immune cells.

Summary: BTK expression in DLBCL can help stratify risk and predict disease progression, especially in patients with non-GCB subtype treated with R-CHOP. Co-expression of BTK and BCL2/MYC may independently predict shorter progression-free survival in DLBCL patients.

Summary: The study found that aberrant MYB expression in ovarian cancer is positively correlated with tumor grades and stages, and has race-specific prognostic value for African American patients, but not for Caucasian American patients. High levels of MYB transcripts in epithelial ovarian cancer subtypes are associated with poor survival in African American patients, highlighting MYB as a potentially useful clinical biomarker for prognosis in this population.

Summary: This study aimed to characterize the clinicopathologic features, prognosis, and prognostic factors of AITL in China. The majority of Chinese AITL patients were treated with anthracycline-based regimens, but the outcomes were still unsatisfactory. A novel prognostic model (the Chinese AITL score) was developed to better identify patients at different risks for alternative therapies.

Summary: The presence of a serum monoclonal component, particularly in follicular lymphoma, is associated with poorer outcomes such as a higher risk of early relapse, shorter progression-free survival, and shorter overall survival. This finding is especially significant in patients over 60 years old, where a positive serum immunofixation electrophoresis is an independent predictor of overall survival. Further investigation into the relationship between serum monoclonal components and B-cell biology and the tumor microenvironment is encouraged.

Summary: An AI-based method was developed for the detection of focal skeleton/bone marrow uptake in Hodgkin's lymphoma patients undergoing staging with FDG-PET/CT. The study found high agreement between the AI and independent physicians in interpreting the results, indicating the potential for more accurate diagnoses for patients.

Summary: Adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATLL) is a mature T-cell tumor caused by HTLV-1. The typical ATLL immunophenotypes include positive expression of CD2, CD3, CD5, CD4, and CD25, and negative or partially positive expression of other markers. This study performed immunohistochemical stains and identified some new findings regarding the immunophenotypic profile of ATLL.

Summary: The study revealed that TP53 mutations in MCL patients have a negative impact on their survival, and patients with triple-positive expression of p53/Sox11/Pax5 have a higher risk. This risk stratification is independent of other prognostic indicators and may help identify high-risk MCL patients.
