Summary: This study aimed to investigate the health preferences of patients with heart disease and develop a value set for the 5-level EQ-5D (EQ-5D-5L) based on these patient preferences. The value set could be used for patient-centric economic evaluation and health-related quality of life assessment for patients with heart disease.

Summary: This research developed algorithms to map EQ-5D-3L responses to EQ-5D-5L value sets and found that including indicants of problems for other dimensions as regressors in the model improved prediction accuracy. Adding age and gender lowered AIC without improving predictions, while including a latent factor slightly improved predictive accuracy. Models conditioning on problems in other dimensions yielded more accurate predictions than an alternative copula-based approach.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the responsiveness and minimal clinically important difference (MCID) of the five-level version of the EuroQol five-dimensional questionnaire (EQ-5D-5L) in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) and determine the relationship between MCID values and minimal detectable change (MDC). The results showed that EQ-5D-5L has large responsiveness among CHD patients and can determine clinically meaningful score changes at the group level.

Summary: This study aimed to develop mapping algorithms that convert SAQ scores to EQ-5D-5L health utility values for CHD patients in China. The results showed that the mapping algorithms developed using mixture beta and ordered logit models accurately converted SAQ scores to EQ-5D-5L health utility values.

Summary: This research aimed to determine the robustness of the German EQ-5D-5L valuation data for the general population compared with those with health impairments. The results showed that people with self-reported health impairments do not have different EQ-5D-5L health state preferences compared with the German general population.

Summary: The study aimed to estimate population norms for the Romanian versions of EQ-5D-5L, EQ-5D-3L, their indexes, and EQ VAS. A cross-sectional survey was conducted using a representative sample, and descriptive statistics were used to estimate population norms by age groups and sex. The findings provide reference values for healthcare professionals, researchers, and decision-makers in Romania.

Summary: The EQ Health and Wellbeing Short (EQ-HWB-S) is a new measure of health and wellbeing that overlaps with, and expands upon, the EQ-5D-5L. The study found moderate to strong associations between the two measures and concluded that the EQ-HWB-S performs similarly or better than the EQ-5D-5L among patient groups, particularly in distinguishing caregivers and those closer to full health.

Summary: The study found that 51.5% of healthcare providers have never provided sexual counseling in HF patients. Factors such as being male, having a masters' degree, having more than 10 years of experience in cardiovascular disease, working in an ambulatory care department, and having more positive attitudes were independently associated with a higher provision of sexual counseling in practice. Despite healthcare providers perceiving it as their responsibility to discuss patients' sexual concerns, these issues are not often addressed in daily practice.

Summary: The study found a decrease in the frequency of ergonomic accidents in a large Belgian university hospital, while severity remained unchanged. Female and older employees are more vulnerable to accidents, and those mostly engaged in manual tasks have a higher accident rate. Additionally, there was an increase in the frequency of incidents, potentially reflecting the adequacy of preventive measures and growth in safety behavior.

Summary: This study aims to investigate the distress and wellbeing of general practitioners/family physicians during the COVID-19 pandemic and identify ways to mitigate distress. The study found that GPs with less experience, in smaller practices, and with more vulnerable patient populations were at a higher risk of distress. Additionally, significant differences in wellbeing scores were observed between countries, and collaboration and perception of government support were significant protective factors for distress.
