Summary: The study aimed to compare the patient-reported mental health outcomes for men undergoing treatment for localized prostate cancer over a 5-year period. The results showed that there were no clinically significant differences in mental health outcomes, including depressive symptoms, emotional well-being, and energy/fatigue, based on the treatment received (surgery, radiotherapy, or surveillance). However, certain factors like older age, poorer health, being unmarried, and baseline depressive symptoms were associated with worse mental health outcomes.

Summary: Art therapy, as a non-pharmacological medical complementary and alternative therapy, has shown positive outcomes in reducing suffering from mental symptoms, mainly targeting patients with disorders such as depression, anxiety, cognitive impairment, Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia, and autism. It not only helps patients open up and share their feelings, views, and experiences, but also provides complementary information for diagnosing diseases, indicating its potential as an auxiliary treatment in clinical applications on mental disorders.

Summary: Through surveys conducted at four manufacturing firms in Japan, it was found that employees working from home experienced more significant declines in productivity compared to those who did not work from home. Poor WFH setups and communication difficulties were identified as major reasons for productivity losses. However, it was also discovered that the mental health of workers who worked from home was better than that of workers who were unable to work from home.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate the effect of music therapy on anxiety alleviation among cancer patients. A comprehensive literature research was performed, and 15 randomized controlled trials were included. Music intervention had a moderate superiority in anxiety alleviation compared to standard care, but caution should be taken due to high heterogeneity in the pooled study. Well-designed trials with higher quality are still needed in the future to validate the results.

Summary: The study reveals that while telehealth has seen some success in the field of youth mental health care, successful implementations are scarce. Most young people believe that telehealth has a positive impact on service quality, while clinicians are less likely to hold this view. Furthermore, there is a high level of interest in integrating telehealth as a permanent part of care for youth mental health beyond the pandemic.

Summary: This study provides an overview of psychological distress in advanced cancer patients. The results suggest that experiential avoidance (EA) may be beneficial in the short term to alleviate distress but can impair function and limit engagement in life in the longer term. The study highlights the importance of understanding the complexity of EA behaviors and defining EA precisely for clinicians and researchers.
