Summary: The prognostic value of CT-derived coronary artery disease (CAD) characteristics differs across categories of clinical cardiovascular risk. Among patients with low cardiovascular disease risk, CAD >= 50% has the highest prognostic value, while coronary artery calcium (CAC) and high-risk plaque (HRP) have higher prognostic value among patients with high cardiovascular disease risk.

Summary: In non-obstructive coronary artery disease, the decline of CT-derived fractional flow reserve (FFRCT) depends not only on vessel length but also on the lumen volume. A new marker, the ratio of lumen volume to vessel length (V/L ratio), was found to be the strongest predictor of distal FFRCT.

Summary: Objective evaluation of coronary artery abnormalities (CAAs) in patients with Kawasaki disease (KD) is important. This study investigates the role of CT coronary angiography (CTCA) in detecting CAAs in the distal segments of coronary arteries in KD patients. The results show that CTCA can identify CAAs in the distal segments, including branches, of the coronary arteries, which cannot be detected by transthoracic echocardiography (TTE).

Summary: ML-based CT-FFR can be used to correctly categorize cCTA studies without obstructive CAD, especially for less experienced readers. Image quality and coronary artery calcium score have no correlation with recategorization.

Summary: This paper proposes the application research of FFR based on deep learning in the diagnosis of coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes mellitus. Through the core theoretical research on coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes mellitus and FFR, it is analyzed that the existing coronary angiography is still in the development stage and combined with FFR can play a better therapeutic effect.

Summary: Combining coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) with coronary artery calcium (CAC) score can significantly improve the diagnosis of coronary artery disease (CAD). The addition of CAC score is particularly beneficial when CCTA alone is inconclusive.

Summary: The study aimed to investigate the diagnostic value of one-stop combined CTA as the initial examination for suspected CAD or CCAD patients, and compare its clinical performance with two consecutive CTA scans. The results showed that one-stop combined CTA enabled effective detection of lesions in non-targeted regions, with reduced scan time and contrast medium dosage compared to two separate examinations. Therefore, it can be considered as a preferred first-line examination for patients suspected of CAD or CCAD.

Summary: This study developed an open-source deep learning model for segmenting coronary plaques on coronary CT angiography. The model showed excellent performance in quantifying plaque volumes in both the test set and an external dataset, and transfer learning further improved the accuracy of the model.

Summary: The aim of this study was to identify the most informative predictors of cardiovascular events in patients undergoing Coronary CT Angiography. The severity of stenosis in the left main coronary artery was found to be the most significant predictor of high-risk patients. CT Angiography showed higher performance in identifying high-risk patients compared to other methods.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the association between hypertension and extensive non-obstructive coronary artery disease (CAD) in patients with symptomatic chronic coronary syndrome (CCS). The results showed that hypertension was associated with extensive non-obstructive CAD in CCS patients, independent of factors such as sex, age, smoking, diabetes, statin treatment, obesity, and calcium score.

Summary: In October 2021, the ESC and EACTS established a task force to review the 2018 guidelines on myocardial revascularization for patients with LM disease. The task force suggested updated recommendations for revascularization modality, stating that both CABG and PCI are clinically reasonable options for stable patients with LM disease. The task force also acknowledged knowledge gaps and emphasized the need for more data.

Summary: In October 2021, the ESC and EACTS established a Task Force to review recommendations on myocardial revascularization in patients with LM disease. The TF assessed new data, including aggregated data from four randomized trials comparing PCI with CABG. The TF concluded that both treatment options are clinically reasonable based on patient preference, expertise, and local operator volumes, but acknowledged gaps in knowledge and the limitations of the available data.
