Summary: This paper investigates the dynamical response of a biological model of cortical network to external periodic stimulation, revealing the intrinsic parameters of neural populations determine the extent of resonant activity and the nonlinear dynamics and geometric shape of neural manifolds in oscillatory resonance. Furthermore, it demonstrates the occurrence of multiple resonances induced by time delay and the effective transmission of stimulation information via oscillatory resonance in the brain.

Summary: In this study, the reduction behavior and oxygen dynamics of cubic In2O3 nanoparticles were elucidated using in situ Raman and UV-vis spectra combined with density functional theory (DFT) calculations. The results demonstrate the potential of combining different in situ spectroscopic methods with DFT to unravel the complex redox behavior of In2O3 nanoparticles. Oxygen exchange between the bulk and the surface of In2O3 nanoparticles was observed at elevated temperatures, leading to an oxidation of the surface and an increase in oxygen defects in the bulk.

Summary: Density functional theory calculations were used to investigate the competing pathways of rhodacycle intermediates in Rh(III)-catalyzed annulations of 2-alkenyl phenols and 2-alkenyl anilides with alkynes. The results reveal that the multiple pathways of eight-membered rhodacycles can be subtly tuned to give specific cyclic products. The formation of different cyclic products from 2-alkenyl phenols and 2-alkenyl anilides is governed by different pathways involving the dissociation of Rh-O bond and intramolecular olefin migratory insertion, respectively.

Summary: This article investigates the dynamic event-triggered H-infinity filtering problem for networked control systems under multiple cyber-attacks. A novel dynamic event-triggering mechanism (DETM) and corresponding event-triggered filter are proposed by considering both denial-of-service (DoS) and deception attacks (DAs). Sufficient conditions are derived using a piecewise Lyapunov functional (PLF) to ensure global stochastic exponential stability and H-infinity performance of the resulting filtering error system in the presence of both DoS and DAs. A simulation example of a tunnel diode circuit system is provided to validate the effectiveness of the proposed event-triggered filter under multiple cyber-attacks.

Summary: CuO/CeO2 with strong metal-support interaction is considered as an efficient catalyst for the preferential CO oxidation reaction (PROX). Different Cu species in this catalyst, including Cu-[O](x)-Ce structure, amorphous CuOx, and aggregated CuOx, affect the catalytic activity differently. The proportion of these Cu species varies with the CuO loading amount, and their synergistic effects determine the overall catalytic performance.

Summary: Breast cancer treatment is challenging due to multiple signaling pathways in cancer cells. This study developed a multifunctional nanosystem that combined ferroptosis, autophagy, and apoptosis pathways for cancer treatment. The nanosystem effectively inhibited cancer cell migration and improved the anti-tumor effect by targeting multiple pathways.
