Summary: In this study, the impacts of various effective parameters and inhibitors on asphaltene deposition rate were investigated. The abilities of SDS, Triton X-100, and salicylic acid in reducing asphaltene deposition were evaluated. The experiments showed that SDS performed better than salicylic acid and Triton X-100. Furthermore, the effect of SDS concentration on the rate of deposition was studied, revealing that an increase in SDS concentration decreased the rate of asphaltene deposition. This study can serve as a helpful tool for petroleum engineers dealing with asphaltene deposition problems.

Summary: This research fills the gap of data envelope analysis (DEA) by using spatial agglomeration analysis and establishes a closed-loop circular economy DEA model. The empirical results show that geographical location and national attributes do not directly impact the energy efficiency of EU countries, and there is a phenomenon of radical degradation in energy efficiency within the EU.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of manufacturing agglomeration on eco-efficiency in the Yellow River Basin, and finds that there is a threshold level for the optimal range of industrial agglomeration. High-energy-consuming manufacturing agglomeration has negative externalities for eco-efficiency, but this negative effect weakens after reaching a certain threshold. On the other hand, the agglomeration of low- and medium-energy-consuming manufacturing industries has a significant positive effect on eco-efficiency, though the effect is not significant when the agglomeration degree is low.

Summary: DBSA was found to be the most effective inhibitor in reducing asphaltene aggregates size at different temperatures, while SA increased aggregate size at high temperatures. The collision efficiency was influenced by both efficient inhibitors and temperature reduction, with a size-dependent collision efficiency halving the model error on average compared to a size-independent one.

Summary: Chemical inhibitors, such as surfactants, can improve the asphaltene stability in crude oil by disrupting the asphaltene aggregation intensity and aggregate characteristics. Molecular dynamics simulations show that increasing the concentration of chemical inhibitors can reduce the aggregation intensity of asphaltenes. The research also reveals that the addition of certain inhibitors can significantly affect the dispersity and shape of aggregates, especially for specific types of asphaltenes.

Summary: Under the new development model, the digital economy has emerged as a key driver for promoting green economic development and achieving carbon neutrality. Through panel data analysis of 30 provinces and cities in China from 2011 to 2021, this study empirically examines the impact of the digital economy on carbon emissions. The findings suggest a non-linear inverted U-shaped relationship between the digital economy and carbon emissions, and economic agglomeration is identified as a crucial mechanism through which the digital economy indirectly reduces carbon emissions. Furthermore, regional heterogeneity is observed, with the impact of the digital economy being more prominent in developed regions. Therefore, it is essential for the government to prioritize the construction of digital infrastructure and tailor the development strategy of the digital economy to local conditions in order to maximize its carbon emission reduction effect.

Summary: This study investigated the influence pattern and efficiency enhanced mechanism of acoustic-chemical spray method on dust reduction. The results showed that acoustic waves affected the surface tension and viscosity of the chemical spray solution, and also accelerated the wetting and agglomeration effect of the spray reagents on coal dust. The dust reduction efficiency increased with increasing acoustic frequency and sound pressure level.

Summary: This study examines the impact of co-agglomeration between the producer service industry and the high-tech manufacturing industry on regional innovation efficiency. The findings suggest an inverted U-shaped relationship between industrial co-agglomeration and regional innovation efficiency. Co-agglomeration of information transmission, computer services, software industries, and high-tech manufacturing has a significant positive effect on innovation efficiency. Policy recommendations include the formulation of more adaptive and heterogeneous market policies. The study provides important insights for improving innovation efficiency through optimizing industrial spatial layout.

Summary: This paper investigates the rheological behavior of bitumen as a function of asphaltene concentration. Bitumen samples with different amounts of asphaltene were prepared and characterized using differential scanning calorimetry and rheological measurements. The results showed that the glass transition temperature of bitumen increases with increased asphaltene concentration. A constitutive model was proposed, which can predict the asphaltene concentration.

Summary: This paper demonstrates the impact of high-tech industry agglomeration and government intervention on regional energy efficiency and the mechanism among the three factors using a fixed-effect model, spatial Durbin model, and panel threshold model. The study finds that high-tech industry agglomeration has a significant positive impact on regional energy efficiency, while government intervention has a significant inhibitory effect. When these factors act together, government intervention distorts the impact of high-tech industry agglomeration on energy efficiency. Both high-tech industrial agglomeration and energy efficiency exhibit spatial spillover effects, and the impact of high-tech industry agglomeration on energy efficiency shows significant spatial heterogeneity. Based on the analysis and conclusions, practical policy suggestions are proposed to improve energy efficiency and effectively address the contradiction between economic development and environmental protection.
