Summary: This article reports the first case of Wilson disease complicated by Crohn disease. The patient presented with repeated low fever, elevated C-reactive protein for 3 years, and anal fistula for 6 months. Ustekinumab was found to be safe and effective in the treatment. The study suggests that copper metabolism and oxidative stress play key roles in both Wilson disease and Crohn disease.

Summary: Pathogenic mutations of CYP24A1 should be considered in cases of hypercalcemia with low parathyroid hormone. Pregnancy may trigger hypercalcemia in affected patients, and obstetric complications are frequently reported. Strictly avoiding vitamin D supplementation seems to be effective in preventing or reducing hypercalcemia.

Summary: Acute pancreatitis may present as an initial clinical manifestation of parathyroid carcinoma, which is a rare cause of hypercalcemia-induced acute pancreatitis. While the causal relationship between primary hyperparathyroidism and acute pancreatitis is still controversial, suspicion of hypercalcemia-induced acute pancreatitis should arise when hypercalcemia and abdominal symptoms are present.

Summary: Parathyroid carcinoma is an extremely rare disease that is usually associated with continuous secretion of PTH, leading to hypercalcemia and symptoms of primary hyperparathyroidism. Radical surgery is the preferred treatment, while other therapies should be considered for specific cases. This article reports on a severe case of parathyroid carcinoma and provides a comprehensive evaluation of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, along with a review of relevant literature.
