Summary: The study aims to personalize treatment approaches for metastatic cancer patients by using molecular profiling to determine precise medical goals and promote targeted therapy strategies among patients. Through collaboration in the Molecular Tumour Board, we have successfully established a multidisciplinary team in Italy that provides personalized treatment recommendations to referred patients using molecular testing.

We handled over 3000 manuscripts annually with a turnaround time of no more than 40 days for the majority of submissions. By restructuring the editorial board and introducing thematic areas, we ensured coherence and quality in the review process.

Summary: Introducing healthy and diverse complementary foods to children is important for establishing good eating habits. A study of infant and young children foods launched in 27 European countries from 2017 to 2021 found that some products contained added sugars, while over half of the products were minimally processed. Products with added sugars generally had lower nutrient profiles, while ultra-processed foods tended to have higher energy and sugar content.

Summary: Harmonization and integration of health data is a key focus for optimizing health and healthcare policies. Population-based patient registries play a critical role in this effort by providing data for monitoring diseases and supporting epidemiological research. However, strict data protection laws can hinder data harmonization and compromise the integrated value of registry data. A proposed adapted model aims to address these challenges and create a valuable pan-European data resource for epidemiological research, while ensuring regulated processing of pseudonymized patient data.

Summary: The EU Public Health Best Practice Portal aims to reduce the burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and their risk factors through the exchange of best practices. The portal rigorously selects best practices and also provides an overview of similar initiatives collecting and disseminating information on NCD interventions. The exchange of best practices is a promising tool in tackling NCDs.
