Summary: A highly porous and chemically stable metal-organic framework (MOF) with enriched sulfonate groups, SO3-MOF-808, is synthesized and proposed as a porous alternative to Nafion for modulating the selectivity of electrochemical reactions. The use of SO3-MOF-808 thin film as an electrode coating significantly improves the current signal for dopamine oxidation and the selectivity against interfering compounds.

Summary: Two-dimensional MXene nanosheets were used to functionalize three-dimensional laser-scribed graphene (LSG) and obtain an LSG-MXene hybrid scaffold. Shape-controlled Au-Pd bimetallic nanoparticles were synthesized on the LSG-MXene surface to enhance its catalytic performance. The fabricated sensor showed low detection limits for ascorbic acid, dopamine, and uric acid and can be used for their determination in urine samples.

Summary: In this study, one-dimensional nitrogen doped porous carbon nano-arrays arranged by carbon nanotube (1D CNTs@NPC) were constructed and used to modify glassy carbon electrodes for the detection of ascorbic acid, dopamine, and uric acid. The resulting electrodes showed excellent analytical performance with low detection limits and high stability and selectivity when applied to real samples. This work provides potential for efficient diagnosis of ascorbic acid, dopamine, or uric acid-related diseases in clinical testing in the future.

Summary: This study presents the design and synthesis of a new saturated bioisostere, 2-oxabicyclo[2.2.2]octane, with improved physicochemical properties. By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of previously used bioisosteres, the authors developed a key synthesis step using iodocyclization. The incorporation of 2-oxabicyclo[2.2.2]octane into Imatinib and Vorinostat drugs led to improved properties or the creation of a new drug analog. This research expands the options for saturated bioisosteres in drug discovery projects.
