Summary: The role of hydrous silicate melts in transferring oxidized iron in subduction zones has been confirmed by experiments. The experiments showed high concentrations of FeO in the hydrous silicate melts, indicating the dominance of oxidized iron. The results also demonstrated that hydrous silicate melts can dissolve iron oxides more efficiently than aqueous fluids, playing a crucial role in oxidizing the source of arc magma.

Summary: We conducted an integrated study on mafic arc igneous rocks in Southwestern Tianshan, China to distinguish slab aqueous solutions from sediment melts in generating arc magmatism. The DKR and NZS rocks are enriched in fluid-mobile elements, while the SXY rocks are enriched in melt-mobile elements. Quantitative model calculations and analysis of geochemical characteristics further confirmed these findings.

Summary: Magmatic processes beneath the active continental margins have a significant impact on the structures and compositions of arc roots. Neoproterozoic igneous rocks are found extensively in the margins of the Tarim Block in northwest China. The Xingdier mafic-ultramafic intrusion, located at the northern margin of the Tarim Block, is composed of gabbro, pyroxenite, and peridotite units. The rocks in this intrusion exhibit varying compositions and contain elements characteristic of arc-affinity geochemistry. Their formation is likely influenced by crustal contamination and fractional crystallization processes in the arc root.

Summary: This study experimentally assesses the volatility of volatile elements in magmatic iron meteorites and finds that the presence of sulfur plays a significant role in determining their volatility. The commonly applied 50% condensation temperature models cannot be used for sulfur-bearing Fe liquids and magmatic iron meteorites. The study demonstrates the potential importance of evaporative loss on the elemental depletions in magmatic iron meteorites.

Summary: Most global Mo resources are derived from porphyry-type ore deposits, but data on the extraction efficiency of Mo is inconsistent. This study determines the partition coefficient of Mo between aqueous fluids and granitic melts, showing that it increases with total Cl concentration in the magmatic fluid. The observed partitioning data suggests that Mo exists dominantly as (Na,K,H)MoO3Cl in the aqueous fluid. Additionally, delayed fluid saturation and high initial magmatic Cl concentration favor Mo extraction efficiency.

Summary: This study experimentally investigated the solubility of Pt in high-temperature aqueous brines, finding a positive correlation with fO(2), temperature, fluid acidity, and salinity. Summary: The partitioning of halogens in magmas is important for understanding geological processes. This study provides new data on fluid/melt partition coefficients for halogens under different conditions, and evaluates the effects of changing fluid composition on partitioning. The results show that partition coefficients are influenced by pressure, temperature, and fluid composition. The experimental results provide realistic constraints on halogen partitioning in natural conditions and can be useful for the interpretation of melt inclusions and volcano gas data.

Summary: Experiments were conducted to examine the solubility of CO2 in hydrous basaltic andesite under controlled f(O2) conditions. The results showed that dissolved H2O did not have a clear influence on the dissolution of CO2 at the pressures and fluid compositions examined. Existing solubility models over-predict or under-predict CO2 solubility in basaltic melts, highlighting the need for further research to improve our understanding of degassing processes in the Earth's crust and mantle.

Summary: This study examines the eruption rocks of Volcano S3 and proposes a model for the formation of low-Si boninite. The results show that the mineral and whole-rock compositions of S3 reflect the influences of mixing and crystallization processes. The differences in rock compositions between S3 and back-arc basin lavas imply the existence of a dry and wet mantle beneath the Valu Fa Ridge.

Summary: In this study, we provide an electrical resistivity model of the crust and uppermost mantle beneath the northwestern margin of the Qaidam Basin using magnetotelluric (MT) data. We identify four major conductors in the lower crust of the basin and the crust-mantle transition zones of the Qiman Tagh thrust belts and Suganhu Basin. These conductors are associated with devolatilization reactions and asthenospheric upwelling, indicating ductile deformation and tectonic-magmatic activities in the Qaidam lithosphere.

Summary: By analyzing the geological characteristics of volcanic and intrusive rocks in the Northern Andes from the Early Jurassic to Early Cretaceous, it is revealed that there were variations in crustal thickness and magmatic saturation temperatures during this period, indicating that the magma source was formed in a crust 35 to 50 km thick, with two phases characterized by thick crust during the arc evolution.

Summary: Experiments were conducted at 1.5 GPa and 1400 degrees C to investigate the effects of major element compositions on the Cl contents of silicate melts. The results showed that chloride capacity correlated positively with optical basicity and NBO/T and negatively with ionic porosity and the Larsen index. An equation describing the composition, pressure and temperature dependence of the chloride capacity was derived and found to accurately reproduce the data points.

This study investigated the effect of oxygen fugacity on the solubility of Cu, Ag, and Au in high-temperature fluids. The results provide insights into the behavior of these metals in ore-forming environments.
