Summary: This article compares the differences between compulsive sexual behavior disorder (CSBD) and hypersexual disorder (HD) and discusses their relevance. The significant differences between the criteria of HD and CSBD are highlighted, including the role of sexual behavior as a maladaptive coping strategy in HD but not in CSBD, as well as the exclusionary criteria in HD that are not present in CSBD. The inclusion of CSBD in ICD-11 will have a significant impact on clinical practice and research.

Summary: Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of death in our country, and controlling lipid metabolism disorders is a major challenge in cardiovascular prevention. Inconsistencies in lipid metabolism reports from Spanish clinical laboratories may contribute to poor control. Therefore, a working group composed of scientific societies involved in caring for patients at vascular risk has prepared a document proposing a consensus on determining the basic lipid profile in cardiovascular prevention, recommendations for its implementation, and standardization of criteria for incorporating appropriate lipid control goals into laboratory reports.

Summary: This study evaluates the severity of NAFLD in nonobese and nondiabetic patients and finds that CK-18 levels increase with the severity of fatty liver. Additionally, it shows a positive correlation between CIMT, ALT, and CK-18 levels, indicating that CIMT can serve as a marker for cardiovascular risk in NAFLD patients.

Summary: The demand for electrical energy is increasing, and renewable energy generation, particularly floating photovoltaics, is a potential solution. The floating system has benefits such as water evaporation reduction and algae growth prevention. Through multi-criteria decision analysis, horizontal axis tracking systems were determined to be the superior technology option in a Sicilian system, with lower Levelized Cost Of Electricity and reduced CO2 emissions.

Summary: Cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of death in our country, and adequate control of lipid metabolism disorders is a crucial challenge in cardiovascular prevention that is yet to be achieved in real clinical practice. There is significant heterogeneity in lipid metabolism reports from Spanish clinical laboratories, which may contribute to poor control. Hence, a working group from the main scientific societies involved in patient care for vascular risk has prepared a consensus proposal on the determination of basic lipid profiles in cardiovascular prevention, providing recommendations for its implementation and unification of criteria to include appropriate lipid control goals for patients in laboratory reports.
