An imidazole-functionalized EDT-TTF derivative afforded the protonated cation species in salts with chloranilate and cyananilate. Multi-dimensional networks were formed by acid-base hydrogen-bonds in the imidazolium moiety, and by p-stacks and chalcogen atom interactions in the EDT-TTF moiety.
