Summary: This study summarized the fidelity and key elements of MI-based interventions for managing adolescent obesity and examined the reporting of these interventions. The findings revealed low treatment fidelity in these interventions, with theory being the most adhered fidelity strategy and treatment enactment being the lowest.

Summary: The study aimed to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of the combination of Cagrilintide and Semaglutide for weight management. Results showed that concomitant treatment with Cagrilintide and Semaglutide was well tolerated with an acceptable safety profile. Larger and longer trials are needed to fully assess the efficacy and safety of this treatment combination.

Summary: The short-term use of MI by diabetes physicians managing adolescents with poorly controlled type 1 diabetes was not found to be superior to standard education alone in improving glycemic control. However, improved skills in applying the MI method at outpatient clinics may lead to greater benefits in glycemic control.

Summary: This paper presents a preschool-based intervention called CO-HEALTHY, aiming to promote a teacher-parent partnership in urban preschools regarding healthy behaviors in young children. A cluster randomized controlled trial will be conducted in Amsterdam, the Netherlands to evaluate the intervention's impact on partnership and the children's eating, physical (in)activity, and sleeping behaviors. Secondary outcomes include the knowledge, attitude, and practices of ECEC teachers and parents.

Summary: This study showed that a nurse-led, 3-session, stage-tailored motivational interviewing program was feasible and effective in modifying the lifestyles of overweight/obese female adults with prediabetes. Participants were highly satisfied with the program and demonstrated improvements in various areas, such as decreasing waist circumference and blood pressure, and enhancing exercise self-efficacy and dietary patterns, indicating its efficacy in promoting healthy lifestyle changes.

Summary: This review investigated the effect of antenatal interventions that include components of motivational interviewing and/or cognitive behaviour therapy on gestational weight gain. The results showed that these interventions had a small effect on total gestational weight gain and improved the proportion of women achieving recommended gestational weight gain. However, the overall quality of evidence is uncertain.

Summary: The study conducted a randomized controlled trial at a pediatric emergency department to test the hypothesis that the SexHealth intervention could increase health service uptake among sexually active adolescents. The results showed that the intervention was feasible, well-accepted by youth, and led to increased uptake of health services during the emergency department visit.

Summary: The prevalence of overweight and obesity in children and adolescents is increasing globally. Vitamin D deficiency has been partially associated with child and adolescent overweight/obesity. This systematic review and meta-analysis assesses the effectiveness of vitamin D supplementation on child and adolescent overweight/obesity. Overall, high-dose vitamin D supplementation may reduce cardiometabolic risk and improve insulin resistance.

Summary: This study conducted a cluster randomised controlled trial on preschool-based intervention for teachers in a deprived area. The intervention had positive effects on teachers' knowledge and attitudes, but not on confidence in promoting healthy behaviors. No effects were observed on teachers' and children's BMI at this stage.

Summary: In this study, adolescent and young adult cancer survivors from a single Australian institution, on average 5 years post treatment, exhibited better health behaviors compared to Australian normative data, but still below recommended guidelines. However, they continue to experience issues with fatigue and reduced health-related quality of life, especially in those not meeting the physical activity guidelines.

Summary: This study found that ADT-treated men with prostate cancer had stronger associations between fitness and executive function compared to controls. Regardless of ADT use, decreased dual-task mobility in prostate cancer patients was more strongly associated with decreased psychomotor attention and global cognitive function compared to non-PCa controls. The overall prevalence of cognitive impairment was low and did not differ between the groups.

Summary: Being overweight or obese is associated with slower physical function in Australian adults aged 50 years and above, but does not affect the relationship between strength and cognition. Obesity may have some benefits in certain cognitive domains, especially when physical function is slower. However, longitudinal studies are needed for further investigation.

Summary: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of a multicomponent exercise programme combined with daily whey protein, calcium and vitamin D supplementation on cognition in men with prostate cancer treated with androgen deprivation therapy (ADT). The study found that this intervention had no significant effect on cognition, and exercise training adherence below recommended guidelines does not support cognitive health.

Summary: Nearly 94% of breast cancer survivors experience symptoms or side effects during or after endocrine therapy, and acupuncture offers a comprehensive solution to address these issues. However, medically underserved breast cancer survivors often lack access to acupuncture. To promote equal access and evidence-based treatment, a randomized controlled trial is being conducted to investigate the effectiveness of acupuncture for symptom management among this population.
