In the paper are presented the results of investigation into the influence that specific surface S-sc, C(3)A, Na(2)Oe and SO3 content have in cement and the interaction of these factors on PC and PE superplasticizer performance. In order to obtain unequivocal relationships, laboratory-prepared cements were used. The composition and specific surface of those cements were changed strictly according to an assumed research plan, while other properties were kept constant. In order to make the achieved relationships as useful as possible for creating the workability of SCC and HPC, the research was conducted on mortars. (C) 2012 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
