Summary: Private cloud computing offers flexibility and cost reduction, but also brings risks and weaknesses. The prevalence of private cloud computing has not reached expectations, as corporations face problems in fully embracing it, including increasing privacy issues. This paper compares a new authentication scheme with existing ones and demonstrates its success. Additionally, a novel private cloud storage system is developed, incorporating techniques such as differential fragments and distributed file allocation databases.

Summary: This study used EEG activity (raw EEG and alpha power) to investigate whether attentional capture can be explained by goal-driven and/or stimulus-driven accounts. The results showed preferential tuning to the location of both contingent and non-contingent cues, with different time courses for raw EEG and alpha power, suggesting that they tap into distinct neural processes indexing covert spatial attention.

Summary: The study investigates the measurement of limiting current density and analyzes the current-voltage curves obtained by different methods. It is found that the voltage stepping method is a reliable approach for determining the limiting current density, and the simultaneous electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurement can provide accurate results. The selection of appropriate atmospheric conditions is also crucial for reducing distortion and spurious contributions.

Summary: This article explores the tradeoff between capacity limits and antagonistic means of enabling reliable data delivery in a loaded LoRaWAN cell. A refined packet delivery ratio (PDR) model is proposed, taking into account the dependency between overcoming noise and dominating colliding frames, as well as the sum of interference powers when multiple colliding frames are present. The benefits and tuning of error correction codes (ECCs) are also discussed, with a coding rate of one third identified as the most effective redundancy level. A Python discrete-event simulator is developed to assess the impact of different factors on system performance.

Summary: Personal comfort models (PCM) represent the most promising paradigm for human-centric thermal comfort in buildings. Advances in wearable sensing suggest that the use of physiological data for real-time comfort measurement can be the start-up of the next generation of building design and operation with PCMs. This study presents the results from a large original experimental campaign aiming at human thermal comfort decoding via physiological signal, demonstrating the potential of physiological measurements in identifying specific thermal sensations.

Summary: Generalized integrated interleaved (GII) codes show great potential in communication and distributed storage systems for their error-correction capability and locality. An accurate theoretical performance analysis method is crucial for designing optimal GII codes, which can predict the failure probability of each decoding round and simplify the analysis with an approximation performance evaluation method introduced in this letter.

Summary: A method of capturing TWPs in tunnels to prevent their release into the environment was proposed and verified through experiments, showing a capture efficiency exceeding 50%. The optimal capture ratio occurs at 60 km/h and is mainly determined by the pressure difference between tunnel ends, with health-related TWPs smaller than 10 ?m being the main source captured. This method provides guidelines for alleviating pollution caused by TWPs.

Summary: Understanding scapular motion is crucial for rehabilitation programs, but current assessments are often limited to laboratory settings. This study aimed to evaluate the reliability of using IMUs to measure scapular motion and compare the effectiveness of acromion and spine placement. Participants completed dynamic tasks while their motion was tracked using both IMUs and optical motion capture. Results showed acceptable reliability and revealed that acromion placement produced slightly more reliable outcomes.

Summary: The Hayden-Preskill thought experiment at finite temperature was studied, obtaining the decoupling condition for extracting information thrown into an old black hole through decoding Hawking radiation. Decoding probabilities and fidelities were calculated, showing that the decoding fidelities are generally less than unity at finite temperature.
