Nano-particles of bentonite have been prepared by solvothermal method in different conditions. The nano-bentonite was characterized by X-ray fluorescence analysis (XRF). X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), thermal gravimetry analysis (TGA), differential thermal analysis (DTA) and infrared spectroscopy. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations revealed that using of solvothermal method leads to bentonite nanostructure. The reactions were performed in several conditions to find out the role of different factors such as the aging time and temperature on the size and morphology of the nano-structures.
