Summary: In this study, the effectiveness of the toothpaste technique in preventing caries in home care was investigated. By diluting toothpaste samples and measuring viscosity, it was found that at low concentrations, toothpaste can be easily washed out of high-risk interdental areas, resulting in reduced caries prevention. The study proposed a method to maintain toothpaste in the interdental area and showed that using finger brushes can increase the efficiency of toothpaste delivery.

Summary: This study compared the amount of fluoride delivered by topical application of 38% silver diamine fluoride (SDF) solution and 5% sodium fluoride (NaF) varnish, and determined the amount of 38% SDF solution delivered using various micro-applicators. The results showed that the fluoride delivered by SDF solution was significantly less than that delivered by NaF varnish, and the amount of SDF solution delivered depended on the brand and size of the micro-applicators.

Summary: A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted to explore the possible harmful effect of fluoride exposure on cognitive neurodevelopment in children. The majority of studies suggested an adverse effect, especially at low levels of exposure, but the role of confounding factors needs to be further investigated.

Summary: The study investigated the effect of strontium-doped bioactive glass on the formation of dental demineralized lesions. Results showed that the bioactive glass had a preventive effect on demineralized lesions in both enamel and dentine. Different groups were observed and analyzed for surface morphology and mineral loss values to evaluate the effectiveness of the bioactive glass.

Summary: The study indicated that reducing the radiation dose in the extended field is crucial for decreasing late toxicities. For patients with complete response, upfront chemotherapy may help minimize radiation dose to 30 Gy. Prospective trials focusing on de-intensification of extended field radiation therapy are needed.

Summary: Radiation-induced oral mucositis is a common complication in head and neck cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy, leading to severe discomfort and treatment interruptions. Its pathogenesis is complex, involving the release of inflammatory transmitters. Understanding and implementing preventive measures and treatments are crucial for managing this condition effectively.

Summary: The aim of this paper is to characterize the properties of fluoride and its effects on the human body, as well as the sources of its occurrence. The emphasis is placed on the safety of its use and optimal dosage intake to prevent accumulation and reduce potential side effects. Proper fluoride supply has a positive effect on the human body, and it is recommended to consult a specialist to select the dosage to avoid overdose.

Summary: This study evaluated the preventive action of topical fluoride application combined with laser irradiation under different pH conditions. The results showed that the combination of laser and fluoride demonstrated superior acid resistance and reduced demineralization, even at pH levels below the critical threshold for fluorapatite.
