Summary: A thorough understanding of body composition assessment techniques is crucial for developing personalized nutritional programs. The potential application and effectiveness of these techniques in different physiological and pathological conditions, as well as their role in monitoring dietary interventions, should be considered. Bioimpedance analysis, particularly vector frequency-based analysis (BIVA) systems, is currently the most effective and reliable method for assessing body composition due to its advantages in terms of speed, non-invasiveness, and cost efficiency.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate lactation performance in Indian females and examine the associations between maternal anthropometry (BMI, percentage body fat) and lactation performance. The results showed that most mothers had similar BMI and milk volume and composition to reference values. However, further research is needed to explore the underlying mechanisms between maternal body composition and milk volume in populations with a greater burden of underweight and/or obesity.

Summary: Breaking is a sports dance modality that combines street dance steps with acrobatics and athletic elements, and it will debut at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. This study aims to assess the body composition and nutritional status of the Breaking national team through bioimpedance measurement and a nutritional interview. The results showed that the athletes had an adequate nutritional status, but there was a deficiency in vitamin D3 levels.

Summary: This study aimed to examine the relationship between frailty and other prognostic factors in patients admitted with COVID-19. The results showed that frailty was independently associated with age, co-morbidity, and systemic inflammation. Further research is needed to understand the relationship between frailty and clinical outcomes in COVID-19.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of nutritional status, body composition, and muscle strength on activities of daily living (ADL) improvement in patients with proximal femur fractures. The findings showed that good nutritional status and skeletal muscle quality were significantly associated with ADL improvement, while poor nutritional status and decreased muscle strength interfered with ADL recovery.

Summary: This study found that practicing football in children has positive effects on increasing lean body mass, reducing fat mass, and increasing overall bone mineral content, suggesting a beneficial impact on body composition. Further research is needed to confirm the effects on bone mineral content.

Summary: Women of childbearing age in Western societies are increasingly adopting vegetarian diets, but little is known about the composition of their milk. This study compared the intake, nutritional status, and composition of human milk from omnivore milk donors and vegetarian/vegan lactating mothers. The results showed that the milk of vegetarian/vegan mothers had lower levels of DHA, indicating the need for proper supplementation.

Summary: This study proposes an incremental motor skill learning, generalization, and control method based on DMP and BLS. The method can extract both ordinary skills and instant reactive skills from demonstrations. The approach includes three steps: learning ordinary skills, achieving multistylistic reactive skill learning, and integrating and generalizing the learned skills.

Summary: The study revealed a high prevalence of abnormal nutritional status among Wilson's disease patients, with significant differences in fat and muscle mass between different phenotypes. Longitudinal studies are needed to explore the role of nutritional status and body composition in reflecting prognosis in Wilson's disease patients.

Summary: Most university students do not follow recommendations for fruit and vegetable intake, leading to an increase in cardiovascular disease risk factors. The study found that only the blood glucose levels of Spanish students were significantly higher, and only 3.1% of Spanish students presented ketosis. Students who consumed at least four servings of fruits and vegetables per day showed better values for blood pressure and metabolic parameters.

Summary: The paper presents an automated system that uses natural language expressions to report the evolution of a process. By analyzing wireless sensor data and process patterns, the system generates linguistic reports of the composting process, including information about the current status, trend, and behavior. The system allows instant communication with users via a messaging app, providing decision support for processes that require data interpretation supervision.
