Summary: The study aimed to determine the accuracy of partially and fully guided surgical techniques for immediate implant placement into fresh sockets and compare two different methods of implant position deviations analysis. The partially guided technique resulted in significantly higher deviations compared to the fully guided technique in both tomographic and digital scanning analysis. More studies are needed to validate and define the most reliable method of measuring implant deviation.

Summary: This study conducted a randomized controlled trial to compare the accuracy of immediate implant placement using freehand and static guided surgery. The results showed that static guided surgery demonstrated better accuracy in crestal and apical deviations, as well as angular deviations, compared to freehand surgery. However, there was no significant difference in depth deviation between the two groups.

Summary: The STIL technique utilizes modular templates to fix pins before tooth extraction, providing a reliable position for subsequent templates for implant insertion and placement of interim prostheses. This method minimizes errors in positioning surgical templates during immediate loading procedures after tooth extraction.

Summary: Although the accuracy of sCAIP is well reported, there is limited information on its long-term effects on peri-implant health and complications. A study was conducted on 26 initially treated patients, and the results showed that sCAIP may contribute to more predictable implant placement, with long-term clinical outcomes similar to conventional nonguided surgery.

Summary: The study analyzed outcomes of obese patients undergoing breast reconstruction using the Goldilocks procedure, finding that performing only the Goldilocks procedure had fewer complications compared to immediate breast reconstruction, with no significant difference in patient satisfaction.

Summary: The study established a learning curve for laparoscopy-guided kidney biopsy procedures in dog and pig corpses, revealing that operator ability can be observed from the first collection, with swine samples showing higher amounts of renal cortex. Procedure duration decreased as more repetitions were performed, with operators reaching a plateau in the fourth repetition for the variable related to 'collection'.

Summary: The aim of this study was to assess the occurrence of severe post-operative complications following deep endometriosis surgery. The study included women who had surgery for deep infiltrating endometriosis between 2013 and 2019, and evaluated the rates of complications and risk factors. The analysis showed an overall complication rate of 16.20% and a severe complication rate of 2.42%.

Summary: The study demonstrated successful clinical outcomes of immediate loading of implants placed by guided surgery in edentulous mandible patients. Factors such as marginal bone loss, mechanical prosthodontic complications, and peri-implantitis play critical roles in the long-term survival of implants.

Summary: This study reviewed 56 cases of hip arthroscopy using a hip-specific distractor to treat femoro-acetabular impingement. It found that the use of a hip-specific distractor can facilitate the learning curve for beginner surgeons and improve operative time and postoperative satisfaction after 30 cases. Overall, the hip-specific distractor proved to be a safe and reproducible method for performing hip arthroscopy without traction-related complications.
