Summary: The diverse clinical outcomes of prostate cancer have led to the development of gene signature assays predicting disease progression. Improved prostate cancer progression biomarkers are needed as current RNA biomarker tests have varying success for intermediate prostate cancer. Interest grows in universal gene signatures for invasive carcinoma progression.

Summary: This study investigates the role of biological aging in the progression of prostate cancer and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It identifies specific biological aging genes associated with disease progression in both cancers and demonstrates their potential as markers for personalized therapeutic management and novel treatment investigations.

Summary: In this study, a novel combined nomogram was established to predict the risk of progression related to castration resistance in patients with prostate cancer (PCa). A two-gene signature (KIFC2 and BCAS1) was built to predict the risk of progression. The prognostic value of the nomogram was validated and found to have good predictive ability.

Summary: The specific functional form of a protein is mostly achieved through dynamic interactions of many enzymes in post-translational modifications, which cells widely use to respond to stimuli, regulate transcription, and maintain proteostasis. Post-translational modifications play important roles in driving prostate cancer, particularly in regulating protein activity at the level of post-translational modifications.

Summary: This study retrospectively enrolled 547 patients who received immunotherapy and established two Nomograms to predict the occurrence of Checkpoint inhibitor pneumonitis (CIP). After internal and external verification, the predictive power of Nomograms A and B was proven satisfactory. They are promising clinical tools that are convenient, visual, and personalized for assessing the risks of developing CIP.

Summary: This study identified urine proteomic signatures and protein biomarkers that can predict the progression of gastric lesions and the risk of gastric cancer. These biomarkers have the potential for translation significance in defining high-risk populations for gastric cancer and early detection.

Summary: Androgen and androgen deprivation therapies are used to treat prostate cancer patients, but many patients eventually develop castration-resistant prostate cancer. This review discusses the role of androgen receptor in the epigenetic transition to castration-resistant prostate cancer and the clinical applications of AR ligands, co-regulators, and enhancer RNA in chromatin reorganization.

Summary: This study developed and validated a nomogram based on clinicodemographic parameters to predict clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa), and used prostate-specific antigen density (PSAD) stratification to exclude csPCa. The nomogram showed high accuracy in predicting csPCa and could potentially reduce unnecessary biopsies.

Summary: In order to improve the response to androgen receptor signaling inhibitors (ARSI) in metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), the discovery of biomarkers and development of machine learning-based prediction models are necessary. Researchers utilized whole-genomics and whole-transcriptomics to identify genomic markers and transcriptomic profiles associated with poor responders. Predictive models combining genomic, transcriptomic, and clinical data can potentially enhance treatment guidance for mCRPC patients.

Summary: This study aimed to develop and validate a nomogram for predicting the progression-free survival (PFS) of nonmetastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC) patients after surgery. The nomogram was constructed based on clinical characteristics and treatment information, and was externally validated. The results showed that the nomogram had good discrimination and calibration, and could effectively predict the PFS of patients, providing a reference for clinical trial enrollment.

Summary: The study developed a novel triage model based on clinical data and found that factors such as male gender, age, fever, hypertension, and cardio-cerebrovascular disease are independent risk factors for disease progression in confirmed COVID-19 cases. The model showed good performance with a high area under the curve in both the training and validation groups, suggesting it could be a cost-efficient screening tool.
