Summary: A direct method has been described to establish the correlation between non-nucleic acid analytes and the CRISPR/Cas12a system using rationally designed DNA strands, enabling ultrasensitive detection of biomarkers from different species. The signal output is highly optional and the sensing principle is akin to ELISA, allowing for direct application on the currently available ELISA platform, further facilitating its use in medical diagnostics.

Summary: A rapid detection method for H7N9 avian influenza virus (AIV) was established using monoclonal antibodies against hemagglutinin (HA) to develop an antigen-capture enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (AC-ELISA). AC-ELISA showed high specificity and sensitivity, with a detection limit of 3.9 ng/mL for H7N9 HA protein and 2(-2)HA unit/100 mu L for live H7N9 AIV. The technique proved to be rapid and practical for H7N9 AIV detection, with a sensitivity of 94.96% and specificity of 88.24% compared to conventional virus isolation detection.

Summary: This report introduces a method for enhancing the sensitivity of chemifluorescence-based ELISA, using photooxidation-induced fluorescence amplification (PIFA). PIFA utilizes autocatalytic photooxidation to amplify the fluorescent product, improving detection sensitivity. The method requires minimal modifications to the fluorescence reader and is compatible with conventional ELISA assays.

Summary: In this study, four antibodies against NS1 were characterized and their binding specificities were determined. Two antibodies (A2 and D6) recognized overlapping epitopes on NS1, while another antibody (D8) recognized a distinct epitope. A dengue-specific capture ELISA was developed using one of the antibodies (Den3) as the capture antibody and another antibody (D8) as the detecting antibody. This assay successfully detected NS1 from all tested dengue virus strains and dengue-infected patients.

Summary: This study compared the serum ferritin levels measured by ELISA, Cobas e411, and Cobas Integra 400 methods. The results showed no significant difference between ELISA and Cobas e411, while the values from Cobas Integra 400 were significantly higher. Cobas e411 and Cobas Integra 400 methods demonstrated higher sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy. Further investigations with larger samples are needed to determine interchangeability.

Summary: This study found that the antitumor activity of Vgamma9Vdelta2-T cells was highly suppressed by the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) mediated by hIL-10 and vIL-10. CD137 costimulation significantly mitigated the suppressive effects of IL-10 in TME by suppressing IL-10R1 expression, and improved the compromised antitumor activity of Vgamma9Vdelta2-T cells. In humanized mice, CD137 costimulation boosted the therapeutic effects of aminobisphosphonate pamidronate against EBV-induced lymphoma.
