Various oligosaccharide poly(L-lactide) conjugates (Sac-PLLAs) were synthesized readily through the direct azidation of unprotected saccharides followed by click chemistry with acetylene-terminated poly(L-lactide)s. The Sac-PLLAs were found to form aggregates with the saccharide moieties as the core and shell in nonpolar and polar solvents, respectively.
