Summary: The synthesis of zeolites from kaolin through hydrothermal treatment is a cost-effective and sustainable method. This study investigated the equilibrium precipitation behavior of zeolites from kaolin under different NaOH and NaAl(OH)(4) concentrations and constructed a phase diagram to demonstrate the stability regions and transition zones between phases. The research also highlighted the possibility of using direct kaolin-to-zeolite technology as a low-cost and low-energy alternative to conventional zeolite production.

Summary: In this study, well-crystallized Na-A zeolite (Z-Kln) was synthesized from natural kaolin using a fusion/hydrothermal method. The crystal morphology and crystallinity of Z-Kln were characterized with varying NaOH/kaolin ratio, SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio, and particle size. It was observed that the crystal size decreased and crystallinity increased with higher NaOH/kaolin ratios, and the fusion/hydrothermal method showed effectiveness in synthesizing Z-Kln under low alkali conditions.

Summary: The replacement of lime with nano-zeolite has a beneficial effect on the strength of stabilized samples, with the best efficiency at 40 degrees C. Additionally, the incorporation of fibers, while slightly decreasing compressive strength, significantly increases tensile strength and strain of the samples, consequently increasing Eu.

Summary: This study introduces the solar calcination method for aluminosilicate clay kaolin to produce metakaolin, which can be used as a precursor for zeolite synthesis. The results demonstrate that the solar-calcined kaolin is as effective as conventionally calcined kaolin in providing metakaolin for zeolite synthesis. Additionally, high-temperature calcination of kaolin was proven to be an alternative method for synthesizing zeolite 13X without the need for an extra silica source.

Summary: A FAU-X-rich porous monolith was prepared using an unconventional two-stage method involving foamed geopolymeric precursor production and subsequent hydrothermal conversion. The influence of conversion process parameters on FAU-X crystallization was investigated, and the highest yield was obtained at 60°C with a 0.5 M NaOH solution. Crystallization kinetics of FAU-X within the geopolymer precursor were studied using synchrotron radiation X-ray diffraction quantitative phase analysis (SR-XRD-QPA). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis showed the presence of well-defined octahedral crystals after 3 days of hydrothermal treatment.

Summary: Lithium-based zeolites are commonly used for PSA oxygen concentration, with high-purity chemical reactants like aluminates and silicates. This study synthesized zeolites from kaolin, investigating metakaolinization temperature and molar ratios influence. Factors like H2O/Na2O and SiO2/Al2O3 ratios significantly contributed to the formation of zeolite X, while metakaolinization temperature had a major impact on zeolite A.

Summary: This study focuses on optimizing the CO2 adsorption capacity of 4A-zeolite synthesized from kaolin by using structural modifications through impregnation with tetraethylenepentamine (TEPA) and diethanolamine (DEA). Various analytical techniques were used to evaluate the effectiveness of these modifications. The study found that the best kinetic model is the fractional-factor model and that the optimal adsorption capacity of the modified zeolite is 579.468 mg/g, with optimal operational variables including a temperature of 25.270°C, pressure of 8.870 bar, and amine concentration of 11.112 wt%.

Summary: The study focuses on the effect of temperature on leaching-precipitation kinetics of meta-kaolin and kaolinite. The dissolution of kaolinite is the rate limiting step, while different zeolite products appear for meta-kaolin at various temperatures. The precipitation and dissolution rate of amorphous zeolite precursors are identified as the rate limiting step for meta-kaolin.
