Summary: In this study, we synthesized and investigated the coordination chemistry of novel copper(II) and zinc(II) complexes using two heterocyclic triazacyclononane(tacn)-based chelators (HNODThia and NODThia-AcNHEt). The modified chelator HNODThia was used to develop a PSMA-based bioconjugate (NODThia-PSMA) and a photoactivatable azamacrocyclic analogue (NODThia-PEG ( 3 ) -ArN ( 3 )) for copper-64 radiopharmaceuticals. The metal-binding chelates showed rapid radiolabeling, stability in human plasma, and successful photoconjugation to albumin and antibodies. These findings have significant implications for the development of stable Cu-64-based radiopharmaceuticals and the future application of Cu-67 in targeted radioimmunotherapy.

Summary: The study presents a new protocol for Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction using the cheap and commercially available CuSeO3·2H2O catalyst, resulting in high yields of products under mild conditions without the need for ligands. This marks the first use of an oxygen-bridged copper-based bimetallic catalyst for C-sp-C-sp2 Sonogashira cross-coupling reactions under mild conditions, demonstrating a palladium-free reaction up to a limit of 0.2 ppm.

Summary: Different chelators can be used to introduce [Ga-68]Ga3+ into receptor-specific peptidic carriers for radiotracer imaging, and the choice of chelating agent significantly affects the in vivo pharmacokinetics of the radiopeptides. A backbone-functionalized variant of the chelator CB-DO2A, CB-DO2A-GA, was developed as a valuable alternative to established chelating agents for Ga-68-radiolabeling of peptides. It was found that CB-DO2A-GA required harsher reaction conditions for Ga-68-incorporation compared to DOTA, NODA-GA, and DOTA-GA.

Summary: An anomalous polystyrene gel was obtained during the copper-catalyzed activators regenerated by electron transfer atom transfer radical polymerization (ARGET ATRP) of styrene at 60-70 degrees C, using ascorbic acid/Na2CO3 as the reducing system and EtOAc/EtOH as the solvent mixture. The phenomenon of anomalous PS branching is closely related to reaction conditions such as temperature and the use of a bifunctional initiator, and the intensity of branching/cross-linking can be influenced by the presence of Cu-II or the chain polymerization rate.

Summary: A novel Fe3O4@SiO2@Cyt-Ni/Cu nanocomposite catalyst was synthesized and showed efficient performance for Sonogashira and C-N cross-coupling reactions. The catalyst was characterized by various techniques and the geometry optimization and relative energies of the designed bimetallic complexes were theoretically determined. The catalyst exhibited good activity in coupling reactions and could be easily recovered and reused multiple times with minimal loss of catalytic activity.

Summary: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have revolutionized cancer care, but many patients with poorly immunogenic tumors fail to benefit. External beam radiotherapy (EBRT) has been shown to synergize with ICI to prompt remarkable tumor regression and even eradication, but is not suitable for widely disseminated disease. Targeted radiopharmaceutical therapy (TRT) selectively delivers radiation to both the primary tumor and the metastatic sites, and has shown promising results, leading to regulatory approval of certain agents.

Summary: In this article, a novel catalytic reaction using Pd(0) and Bronsted acid is reported for the synthesis of biologically important imidazolidinone-fused N-heterocycles through redox-neutral intramolecular N-allylation of indoles and pyrroles with alkynes. This atom-economical method is applicable to a wide range of substrates and eliminates the need for leaving groups or oxidizing agents commonly used in traditional allylation reactions.

Summary: This study presents the design and synthesis of sulfated disaccharide inhibitors based on IdoA(2S)-GlcNS(6S), which showed potent inhibition of Sulf-2. The results suggest that IdoA(2S)-GlcNS(6S) is the shortest fragment size required for effective inhibition of Sulfs, and a trisulfated disaccharide is identified as the minimal fragment size of heparan sulfate for effective endosulfatase inhibition.

Summary: The self-adaptability of galvanostatic electrolysis was found to be helpful in a multistage chemo- and diastereoselective electrochemically promoted cyclodimerization of chalcones. Through a series of reductive events, densely functionalized cyclopentanes with five contiguous stereocenters were obtained (25 examples, yields up to 95%, dr values up to >20:1). Further experimental and electrochemical investigations indicated the crucial role of dynamic kinetic resolution of the aldol intermediate in the reaction mechanism.

Summary: In this study, the synthesis of functionalized benzo[a]phenazines and indazolo[2,3-a]quinolines was achieved through Rh(III)-catalyzed oxidative annulation of 2-arylquinoxalines and 2-aryl-2H-indazoles with allyl alcohols. The method showed a wide substrate scope, excellent functional group tolerance, good to high yields of annulated products, and the capability for scaled-up synthesis. A tentative mechanism of the annulation reaction was proposed based on a preliminary mechanistic investigation.
