Summary: In this research, polyamidoamine dendrimers and polyethyleneimine polymers doped with phenylboronic derivatives were used as molecular receptors for voltammetric glucose detection, with wide linearity range and low detection limits. Interference tests showed that fructose had a significant impact on the oxidation signal of ferrocene units, specifically in systems with low boron content, forming complexes with glucose in a 1:1 stoichiometric ratio. The developed electrochemical sensors showed high accuracy and reliability for real-life sample analysis.

Summary: A boronate affinity-based lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) without the need for capture antibodies was developed for the detection of glycoproteins. The LFIA labels, 4-MPBA-AuNPs, showed excellent binding capability and cost advantages compared to capture antibodies. The developed LFIA achieved a lower limit of detection for carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and demonstrated high accuracy in detecting CEA-positive samples in a nonlaboratory environment. Thus, this diagnostic platform provides an effective tool for point-of-care glycoprotein detection.
