A general precipitation strategy has been developed for the large-scale synthesis of molybdate nanostructures, and a series of molybdate nanostructures such as Fe-2(MoO4)(3) nanoparticles, ZnMoO4 nanoplates, MnMoO4 nanorods and CoMoO4 nanowires have been successfully prepared.
