Summary: In this study, the expression profiles of miRNAs in serum samples of bladder cancer patients and healthy controls were detected, and five differentially expressed miRNAs were identified. A three-miRNA signature consisting of miR-27b-3p, miR-381-3p, and miR-451a was constructed with a high diagnostic efficiency for bladder cancer. This three-miRNA signature may serve as a promising non-invasive biomarker for early diagnosis of bladder cancer.

Summary: This study identified necroptosis-related microRNAs (miRNAs) associated with the prognosis of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), and developed a prognostic signature to predict overall survival in ccRCC patients. The targeted genes of these miRNAs were predicted using miRNA databases, and their functional and pathway associations with ccRCC prognosis were investigated. The differential expression of the three miRNAs in the signature was validated in ccRCC tissues.

Summary: The study identified two distinct immune clusters in BLCA patients, characterized by high and low ImmuneScores. CD96 and IBSP were identified as prognostic genes. ImmuneScoreH showed inactivation of innate immune cell chemotaxis, while ImmuneScoreL exhibited low tumor antigen load as a potential immune escape mechanism.

Summary: Lung cancer, particularly NSCLC, is a major cause of cancer-related deaths globally. Recent advancements in treatment have improved therapeutic efficacy, but the survival rate remains low due to inadequate screening methods and late onset of symptoms. Dysregulation of miRNAs in NSCLC plays a critical role in development, progression, and metastasis, presenting potential for diagnostic and therapeutic applications.

Summary: A novel cuproptosis-related lncRNA signature was identified that could predict the prognosis and immune landscape of BLCA. This signature not only had a higher diagnostic efficiency compared to other clinical features, but also had a good performance in predicting the 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year overall survival rate in BLCA. Patients with a low risk score seemed to be associated with an inflamed tumor immune microenvironment and had a higher TMB level than those with a high risk score.

Summary: MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that play a critical role in cancer by post-transcriptionally controlling gene expression. They are involved in the initiation, progression, and metastasis of cancer, and can be used to classify genes affecting cancer pathways.

Summary: This study analyzed the role of RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) in bladder cancer (BC) and identified six RBPs that may serve as predictors of BC. By analyzing clinical information and RNA sequencing data, RBPs associated with patient survival were identified. The study also found that the expression of four RBPs was significantly upregulated in BC tissues and cell lines. A prognostic model based on these six RBPs was developed and functionally validated.

Summary: This study developed a novel lncRNAs signature related to cuproptosis to predict the prognosis of BLCA patients. Using the TCGA database, RNA-seq data and clinical information were retrieved. By analyzing and selecting cuproptosis-related genes and lncRNAs, an eight-gene signature was created. It was found that the high-risk group had a poorer prognosis compared to the low-risk group. The signature demonstrated better predictive ability than clinicopathological variables, and was associated with immune-related biological processes and tumor-related signaling pathways.

Summary: circRNAs play crucial regulatory roles in BCa by modulating various biological behaviors through miRNA sponging mechanisms. The expression levels of circRNAs are significantly associated with clinicopathologic characteristics and can be used to predict patient survival parameters. Due to their abundance, conservation, stability, specificity, and detectability, circRNAs are considered potential diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers for BCa.

Summary: The study showed that theaflavin (TF) can protect against kidney oxidative stress injury induced by calcium oxalate (CaOx) and reduce crystal deposition. TF suppresses kidney damage caused by CaOx through the recovery of the antioxidant defense system regulated by the miR-128-3p/SIRT1 axis.
