Summary: This study retrospectively analyzed the risk factors for recurrence of arterial complications after pancreatectomy during the period of covered stent implantation and made recommendations for peri-stent implantation management. The results showed that pancreatic fistula was a significant risk factor for recurrence. Covered stent implantation was a feasible and effective treatment option, but rigorous management and appropriate treatment strategies were necessary.

Summary: Coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) is a non-invasive diagnostic method that can be used to diagnose coronary artery disease as well as abnormalities in the coronary circulation and monitor treatment effects. Follow-up CCTA should be performed for patients after surgical treatment of coronary artery fistula, with recommendations made regarding the frequency of such follow-up.

Summary: This study compares the effectiveness of a covered stent with percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) alone for treating arteriovenous fistula (AVF) stenosis in upper extremity hemodialysis patients. The results show that the covered stent group had noninferior safety and higher six-month and 12-month target lesion primary patency (TLPP) compared to the PTA alone group.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate in-stent restenosis (ISR) of coronary artery in patients with CoCr stent using subtraction coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) on a 320-row area detector CT scanner. The results showed that subtracted-CCTA had a higher diagnosable rate and better image quality in diagnosing ISR compared to CCTA, with both showing high consistency with invasive coronary angiography (ICA) results. Subtracted-CCTA demonstrated improved diagnostic performance for ISR, potentially reducing the need for further follow-up ICA procedures in patients with CoCr stents.

Summary: The study describes a new technique called stent-assisted sinus protection (SSP) in the treatment of lateral sinus type I or IIa DAVFs, with satisfactory preservation of sinus patency and tributaries. The preliminary experience suggests that SSP is feasible and likely safe, but larger studies are needed for confirmation.

Summary: The study evaluated the feasibility and clinical utility of coronary artery stents in securing pancreatico-jejunal anastomosis and avoiding stent displacement after pancreatoduodenectomy. The results showed that coronary artery stent positioning is a feasible and safe strategy to secure the anastomosis and prevent stent displacement.

Summary: The study compared the clinical outcomes of GraftMaster and Papyrus covered stents for sealing coronary artery perforations (CAPs) in PCI complications. Results showed that at 30-day follow-up, Papyrus had lower rates of target lesion revascularisation (TLR) and target vessel revascularisation (TVR) compared to GraftMaster, while at one year, differences remained consistent with a trend towards lower rates of TLR, myocardial infarction (MI), and stent thrombosis (ST) in the Papyrus group.

Summary: The Willis covered stent implantation appears to be a safe and effective treatment for traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the cranial internal carotid artery, with most patients achieving complete occlusion of the lesion postoperatively. Additional large-sample controlled studies and multicenter studies are needed for further confirmation.

Summary: The study found that the partially covered metallic tracheal Y-shaped stent is effective and safe for treating high cervical GTF and TEF, with high technical and clinical success rates but also a notable incidence of major complications. Patients showed significant improvements in quality of life and physical function, with a high overall survival rate.

Summary: This study observed the efficacy and safety of a self-made covered coronary stent in the treatment of coronary artery perforation. The results showed that the stent effectively blocked the leakage caused by coronary perforation, but had a high risk of stent thrombosis and restenosis. Therefore, it is not recommended as a routine remedy.

Summary: This study systematically evaluated the effectiveness and mechanisms of action of Akkermansia muciniphila supplementation in the management of obesity. The findings suggest that Akkermansia supplementation could be a novel therapeutic approach for obesity and metabolic complications associated with obesity, but further clinical trials are needed to confirm these outcomes.

Summary: The study found that aging and diabetes cause loss of cardioprotection against myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury. However, administration of a mitochondrial cocktail (melatonin/nicotinamide mononucleotide/ubiquinol) significantly improved myocardial I/R injury and restored mitochondrial function and biogenesis through regulation of mitochondrial biogenesis gene expression.

Summary: Three-dimensional myocardial tissues, known as cardiac organoids, have gained significant attention for studying human heart biology, physiology, and pharmacology. These organoids, created from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) or embryonic stem cells (ESCs) along with other co-cultured cells, such as endothelial cells or fibroblasts, have advanced organ research and enabled tissue regeneration and disease modeling in the cardiovascular field.
