Summary: The study identified 7533 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between different treatments, with Biodentine showing a higher number of DEGs compared to ProRoot WMTA at both 3 and 7 days. Despite their differential gene expression, both TCS-based biomaterial treatments mainly involved in odontoblast differentiation, angiogenesis, neurogenesis, dentinogenesis, and tooth mineralization.

Summary: Biodentine and MTA enhanced the proliferation, adhesion, and differentiation of LPS-induced DPCs. The proliferation and adhesion process induced by Biodentine and MTA was through the AKT pathway, but the cellular differentiation process may involve a different pathway that requires further exploration in future studies.

Summary: The study aimed to evaluate the dental pulp responses to rhEPO and/or MTA in pulp capping of inflamed dental pulp in vivo. Pulp capping with rhEPO or MTA + rhEPO resulted in lower inflammation and higher mineralization scores compared to untreated control. Capping with rhEPO or MTA + rhEPO resulted in a favorable effect that was similar or even superior to that of MTA.

Summary: The aim of direct pulp capping (DPC) is to promote pulp healing and mineralized tissue barrier formation by placing a dental biomaterial directly over the exposed pulp. Successful application of this approach avoids the need for further and more extensive treatment. This review focuses on the DPC procedure, the materials used, and their mechanisms of action to promote pulpal healing.

Summary: TheraCal showed significantly lower internal adaptation compared to both MTA and Biodentine in indirect pulp capping for primary teeth. Biodentine and MTA had comparable results in terms of internal adaptation on the dentinal surface of primary teeth, both performing better than TheraCal. There is a moderate to strong positive correlation between Micro-CT and OCT in measuring the internal adaptation of tested pulp capping materials.

Summary: Using Zn-doped bioactive glass micro-nano spheres for dental pulp capping can effectively control infection and inflammation, promote tissue regeneration, and facilitate mineralized dentin formation of dental pulp cells. The method demonstrated excellent dentin regenerative properties in rat experiments.

Summary: This study developed potential dental pulp capping material by coating mineral trioxide aggregate/hydroxyapatite (MTA/HA) on polycaprolactone (PCL) electrospun membranes. The fabricated membranes were characterized and tested for biocompatibility and cell adhesion, spreading, and migration. The results showed that the PCLMTA membrane exhibited better cell adhesion, spreading, and migration.

Summary: Results of the study showed a significant difference in hard tissue bridge formation with ProRoot MTA, while RetroMTA performed better in terms of continuity, morphology, and inflammatory reaction. Although RetroMTA healed pulpal tissue faster, it seemed to be more of a reparative process compared to ProRoot MTA.

Summary: The study evaluated the effects of using iloprost, MTA, and MTA-iloprost as pulp capping materials on pulpal inflammation and tertiary dentin formation in rat molars. Results showed similar pulpal responses in all groups, suggesting that mixing MTA with iloprost might not have significant clinical benefits.

Summary: This review evaluated the effectiveness of bleaching procedures for discolored teeth subsequent to regenerative endodontic procedures through in vitro and in vivo studies. It was found that bleaching was effective for teeth discolored by antibiotic pastes, blood, and barrier materials, but there were variations in bleaching material, techniques, and times across studies. Further long-term clinical studies are needed to establish precise guidelines.
