Summary: In this study, the electrical conductivity of PANI/PVAc/HCSA composite films was investigated. It was found that the presence of PVAc led to an increase in conductivity when the HCSA/PANI weight ratio was lower than 1.50. The hydrogen bonding interactions between PANI and PVAc were found to improve the conductivity of the composite films.

Summary: Ambient humidity is an important parameter that affects the manufacturing and storage of industrial and agricultural goods. This paper reports the development of a low-cost humidity sensor made of cellulose and polyaniline, which shows similar performance to a commercial sensor. The sensor has potential applications in agriculture, food monitoring, and medical and industrial environments.

Summary: This study demonstrates the surface modification of fluorine doped tin oxide (FTO) with sodium phytate doped PANI without any binder for use as a novel current collector in symmetric supercapacitor devices. The electrode without a binder exhibited higher electrocatalytic efficiency, leading to an efficient energy storage device with high specific capacities and excellent cycling stability. The supercapacitor showed remarkably high gravimetric energy and power density, remaining stable as power density increased, highlighting its potential for practical applications.

Summary: In this study, a freeze-resistant conductive hydrogel with fast polymerization rate, excellent mechanical and adhesive properties was successfully prepared. Hydrogels capable of rapid polymerization were prepared using the TA@WSCA-Zn autocatalytic system at room temperature or low temperature. The introduction of amphoteric ions greatly improved the frost resistance and electrical conductivity of the hydrogels. The supercapacitor assembled from the hydrogel electrolyte showed good capacitance characteristics and cycle life after folding and 10,000 charge/discharge cycles. This autocatalytic system provides a new strategy and approach for the preparation of freeze-resistant conductive hydrogel electrolytes.

Summary: Herein, the in-situ preparation of manganese ferrite (MnFe2O4) grafted polyaniline (Pani), a magnetic nanocomposite, was reported for potential photocatalytic and supercapacitor applications. The physical characterization of the prepared nanoparticle and nanocomposite was conducted using various spectroscopic and microscopic analyses. The results showed that the nanocomposite exhibited faster degradation of malachite green dye and higher capacitance compared to MnFe2O4 nanoparticles, indicating its potential as a promising material for both photocatalytic and supercapacitor applications.

Summary: It has been shown through Seebeck coefficient and Hall effect measurements that mobile electrons play a significant role in charge-carrier transport in p-conjugated polymers heavily p-doped with strong electron acceptors. Doping with oxidizing agents eliminates the transport gap at high doping concentrations, indicating a promising route to high-performance n-type organic thermoelectric materials.

Summary: In this study, an innovative approach for fabricating efficient electromagnetic shielding material by tuning the microstructure of the filler in a flexible PDMS polymer matrix is presented. The magnetic property is found to be changed significantly by transforming the microstructure from solid to hollow. The electromagnetic shielding effectiveness is further enhanced by the addition of reduced graphene oxide. The dielectric and magnetic properties of the composite can be altered by varying the mass ratio of the precursors.
