Summary: This study found that endometrial cancer patients with endometriosis have a higher risk of concomitant endometrial and ovarian cancer. Furthermore, endometrioid carcinoma is the most common histological subtype of simultaneous endometrial and ovarian cancer regardless of the presence of endometriosis.

Summary: Endometriosis is a risk factor for endometriosis-associated ovarian cancers. Analysis of OCCC samples with concurrent endometriosis revealed upregulation of cell cycle regulation and DNA replication pathways, and downregulation of cytokine receptor signaling and matrisome pathways. MiR-10a-5p was identified as a potentially oncogenic molecule with significant impact.

Summary: By retrospectively analyzing clinical and pathological data of Italian BRCA mutated EOC patients, it was found that R = 0 was the only predictor of longer overall survival. Additionally, EOC patients with BRCA mutations who subsequently developed breast cancer are usually long-term survivors.

Summary: Two nomograms were established to predict the risk of postoperative complications in AEOC patients following cytoreductive surgery. Factors such as modified frailty index, FIGO stage, and Surgical Complexity Score were found to be significantly associated with overall and severe complications. The nomograms showed good discrimination and calibration, indicating their potential utility in guiding clinical decision-making for AEOC patients.

Summary: The study found common mutated genes in patients with endometriosis and ovarian endometrioid carcinoma, as well as specific mutated genes for each group. In addition, certain genes were highly methylated in endometriosis samples, while others were methylated in ovarian endometrioid carcinoma samples. Moreover, BRCA1, CADM1, PAX6, and PAH genes were mainly methylated in patients with ovarian endometrioid carcinoma.

Summary: Ovarian cancer, especially endometrioid ovarian cancer, is closely related to endometriosis and Lynch syndrome, with dysbiosis of the female reproductive tract microbiota potentially playing a role in its pathogenesis. Dysregulation of the microenvironment and accumulation of mutations are stimulatory factors in the progression of endometrioid ovarian carcinoma. The study of molecular subtypes of endometrioid ovarian cancer is crucial for predicting prognosis.

Fertility-sparing surgery can be considered as an option, but the presence of synchronous endometrial diseases should be noted.

Summary: The study found that miR-99b and miR-125a have high diagnostic potential for endometriosis, miR-143 plays an important role in predicting endometrioid ovarian cancer, and miR-16, miR-99b, and miR-145 are the best predictors for endometrial cancer. These miRNAs could act as good predictors and discriminators of these three diseases, potentially serving as biomarkers for them.

Summary: This study investigated the expression of NCOA5 in EOC and its correlation with prognosis. The results showed that NCOA5 expression was significantly higher in EOC compared to normal ovarian tissues, and it was correlated with FIGO stage and subtypes of ovarian cancer. However, there was no correlation with age, differentiation, and lymph node metastasis. High expression of NCOA5 was associated with EOC progression and prognosis.

Summary: The study identified distinct clinical characteristics of Chinese patients with ovarian endometrioid carcinoma (EC) and clear cell carcinoma (CCC), showing that EC patients tend to be younger while CCC has two peaks in disease onset. EC patients are more likely to have concurrent endometrial cancer and express estrogen and progesterone receptors, with more patients in a premenopausal state. The study also found that in the pure group, the correlation with endometriosis is associated with worse outcomes, while mixed endometrioid histology in mixed cancer patients is linked to better survival rates.

The results showed that clinicians and researchers had the highest willingness to undergo testing and surgeries, with factors such as gender, age, education level, and household income associated with the willingness. Additionally, patients, clinicians, and researchers were more likely to share information with family.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the trends of uterine cervical cancer incidence and survival outcomes from 1999 to 2018. The results showed a decrease in the absolute incidence of cervical cancer, with a significant decline in squamous cell carcinoma and a slow increase in adenocarcinoma. Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the long-term efficacy of consolidation hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) for patients with primary epithelial ovarian cancer. The results showed that the 10-year progression-free survival (PFS) was significantly longer in the HIPEC group compared with the control group, but there was no improvement in overall survival (OS). The common adverse events in the HIPEC group included thrombocytopenia, elevated liver enzymes, and wound complications, but these events were reversible and did not delay subsequent chemotherapy.
