Summary: The TREAT Registry Taskforce is a collaborative network collecting real-world data on atopic eczema patients. This study provides an overview of the eight established TREAT registries and examines the overlap and pooling ability of their datasets. The results show that pooled analyses can be performed on multiple important domain items, enabling future comparative analyses.

Summary: This study evaluated the response and tolerance of brentuximab vedotin (BV) in patients with CD30-expressing cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL). The results showed that BV had efficacy and safety in patients with advanced-stage mycosis fungoides (MF) and CD30+ lymphoproliferative disorders (CD30 LPD). Additionally, patients with folliculotropic MF (FMF) and Sezary syndrome (SS) also showed a favorable response.

The clinical relevance of dupilumab serum concentration in patients with atopic dermatitis: a two-center prospective cohort study

Angela L. Bosma, Louise A. A. Gerbens, Hajar El Khattabi, Floris C. Loeff, Michael Duckworth, Richard T. Woolf, Theo Rispens, Catherine H. Smith, Phyllis I. Spuls

Summary: This study investigated the clinical relevance of dupilumab serum concentration in atopic dermatitis patients. The results showed that the concentration of dupilumab is not associated with treatment effectiveness, but disease activity does seem to influence its levels.

Measurement instruments for the core outcome set of congenital melanocytic naevi and an assessment of the measurement properties according to COSMIN: a systematic review

A. C. Fledderus, T. Boom, C. M. Legemate, C. M. A. M. van der Horst, P. I. Spuls

Summary: This study aims to update a systematic review and evaluate the measurement properties of instruments for the core outcomes of congenital melanocytic naevi (CMN). The first step involves literature search to identify core outcomes and instruments used in previous research. The second step includes a systematic search for studies on the measurement properties of these instruments. The study concludes that further research is needed to determine the appropriate measurement instruments for the core outcomes of CMN.

Prolonged Sick Leave Before and After Diagnosis of Generalized Pustular Psoriasis: A Swedish Population-based Register Study

Sofia Lofvendahl, Jenny M. Norlin, Oskar Ericson, Malin Hanno, Marcus Schmitt-Egenolf

Summary: This study analyzed the sick leave situation in patients with generalized pustular psoriasis and found that the number of sick leave days was significantly higher in these patients compared to the control groups. The study also indicated that the sick leave days were already higher prior to diagnosis, suggesting delayed diagnosis and/or a comorbidity burden.

Harmonization of outcomes in epidermolysis bullosa: report of the Core Outcome Sets for Epidermolysis Bullosa (COSEB) kick-off meeting

Summary: The COSEB kick-off meeting in April 2023 emphasized the need for reasonable harmonization of outcome measurement in different types of epidermolysis bullosa (EB) through the development of core outcome sets. The standardized and uniform outcome assessment has the potential to reduce selective reporting, improve comparability and pooling of treatment outcomes, and enhance future research efficacy in EB.

Towards phase-sensitive optical coherence tomography in smart laser osteotomy: temperature feedback

Arsham Hamidi, Yakub A. Bayhaqi, Ferda Canbaz, Alexander A. Navarini, Philippe C. Cattin, Azhar Zam

Summary: This study investigates the potential of optical coherence tomography (OCT) to provide temperature feedback during bone surgery using Er:YAG laser. By relating the temperature rise with the photo-thermal expansion of the tissue, OCT can predict the temperature increase during laser ablation. The findings suggest that this method could be used for temperature feedback in minimally invasive laser osteotomy.
