Summary: This study investigated the prevalence and severity of anal HPV disease among MSM LWH under the age of 35, finding a high prevalence of HPV infection and precancer but no cases of invasive anal cancer. This supports the adoption of age-based anal cancer screening for this population.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of quadrivalent HPV vaccine on young MSM with HIV. The results showed that vaccination did not provide protection against vaccine-type HPV infection and related lesions. Therefore, it is recommended to vaccinate MSM before initiating sexual activity to prevent HPV-related diseases.

Summary: This study validated the accuracy of 5 methylation markers for the detection and cancer risk stratification of HGAIN. High methylation levels in HGAIN were associated with progression to cancer. These markers provide a promising tool to identify HGAIN in need of treatment.

Summary: Women with anal HPV infection treated for HSIL/CIN2-3 should be re-tested for anal HPV after treatment. Those who have persisting anal HPV infection after treatment are at high risk of developing HSIL/AIN and may benefit from anal exploration. Additionally, women with anal HPV infection treated for HSIL/CIN might have a higher risk of recurrent cervical HPV infection.

Summary: The study comprehensively characterized anal tissue samples from HIV+ MSM and patients with AIN2/3 progressing to cancer using different biomarkers. It was found that p16 and Ki-67 expression, as well as DNA methylation positivity, increased with the severity of anal lesions. The potential clinical significance of E4 expression in AIN progression to cancer remains difficult to interpret.

Summary: p16 is a valuable diagnostic marker for HPV-associated anogenital lesions, especially for identifying AIN 2/3. Its immunoreactivity correlates well with morphologic diagnoses in the anal region, where block staining offers optimal diagnostic value for AIN 2/3.

Summary: This observational study investigated the long-term outcomes and HPV genotype changes after conization for high-grade cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (HG-CIN). Results showed that active surveillance may reduce the severity of progression to cancer, and a majority of patients with recurrent CIN2+ had persistent type-specific HPV infections. Effective therapeutic vaccines for such cases are still needed.

Summary: This study assessed the detection and determinants of anal high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSILs) in men who have sex with men living with HIV. The study found that baseline positivity for human papillomavirus 16 and p16/Ki67 were the strongest determinants of HSILs. Annual cytology and high-resolution anoscopy improved HSIL detection but couldn't compensate for between-center heterogeneity.

Summary: This study analyzed the status of human papillomavirus (HPV) infections in women in Yunnan, China and their correlation with the grade of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN). The study found that HPV infection in Yunnan was dominated by single infection and high-risk HPV types. Patients aged 30 to 45 years had a higher incidence of high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL), and the most common high-risk HPV subtypes were HPV16, HPV58, and HPV52.

Summary: This study compared anal cytology, hrHPV DNA testing, and two novel cytology/hrHPV cotesting algorithms in detecting anal precancer/cancer among high-risk populations. The results showed that screening algorithms incorporating cytology and hrHPV testing significantly increased sensitivity but decreased specificity, particularly performing well in MSM.

Summary: This study analyzed screening data from Mexico's public cervical cancer prevention program from 2010 to 2015, and found that hrHPV testing with cytological triage can detect twice as many CIN2+ cases compared to screening using cytology alone in women aged 35 to 64.

Summary: The HPV vaccination program in British Columbia, Canada has led to a significant decrease in CIN 2 and 3 rates among women aged 16-23, but no decline was observed in women aged 24-28. This suggests a successful population impact of the school-based HPV vaccination program.

Summary: In this study, it was found that anogenital warts in 5- to 12-year-old children are often associated with cutaneous HPV types, possibly due to horizontal transmission. Summary: The introduction of BRAF/MEK-directed targeted therapy has significantly improved the management of BRAF-V600-mutant melanoma patients. Some patients achieve durable complete response to the therapy, but it is unclear whether it is safe to discontinue treatment. Summary: This guideline provides guidance on the diagnosis and management of proctitis caused by sexually transmitted pathogens. It emphasizes the need for clinical diagnosis based on symptoms and signs, and the importance of laboratory tests for definitive diagnosis. The guideline also highlights the increasing incidence of certain infections in specific populations and the necessity of considering traumatic causes in sexually active patients.

Summary: This study investigated the outcomes and surrogate endpoints for overall survival (OS) in patients with advanced melanoma treated with pembrolizumab. The findings support the effectiveness of pembrolizumab in real-world clinical practice, with real-world time to next treatment showing the highest correlation with OS. Evaluating time to next treatment in real-world studies could support decision making in clinical and payer settings.

Summary: HPV infections, common in sexually transmitted cases, include Alpha genus HPV types causing anogenital infections and low-risk types causing condylomata acuminata. High-risk HPV types induce high-grade anal dysplasia, which should be treated gently and effectively. Prophylactic HPV vaccination can prevent condylomata acuminata and anal dysplasia.

Summary: Lymphangioma circumscriptum (LC) is a rare, benign vascular malformation induced by abnormal lymphatic vessels of the skin. It is predominantly located on the trunk, buttock, axillary region, or thighs, with penile LC being rare. This case report describes a patient with acquired LC associated with high-grade penile intraepithelial neoplasia induced by human papillomavirus type 66. Electrocautery should be considered as a first choice for treatment of LC located at surgically challenging regions such as the glans penis.
