Summary: This cohort study examined the trends and patterns of psychotropic medication dispensation among children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in Sweden from 2006 to 2019. The study found an increasing trend in psychotropic medication dispensation, which was consistently higher than those without T1D. These findings highlight the importance of further investigations into the benefits and risks of psychotropic medications in this population, as well as the integration of pediatric diabetes care and mental health care.

Summary: From 2004 to 2019, there was a significant increase in non-insulin antidiabetic medication use among commercially insured paediatric patients, with most patients being treated with metformin and low use of newer agents. Poor medication adherence was observed, with many patients experiencing early treatment interruptions after initiation.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the association between parenting style and the mental health of children and adolescents aged 11-17 years. It found significantly higher mean scores for demanding-controlling and emotional distancing parenting styles. These associations persisted after adjustment and did not vary by socioeconomic or migration status, suggesting that parenting behavior is an important predictor of children's and adolescents' mental health.

Summary: Managing co-morbidities in HIV-infected individuals is a growing priority, often requiring additional medication. This study explored factors influencing adherence to trial medication among children and adolescents with perinatally acquired HIV who were also receiving antiretroviral therapy. Results showed that adherence to the trial drug declined over time and was influenced by HIV viral load and trial site. These findings highlight the challenges in managing co-morbidities in HIV care.
