Summary: Next-generation antiandrogen drugs improve survival and quality of life in advanced prostate cancer patients, but resistance to these drugs is not well understood. This study found that the Wnt5a/FZD2 signaling pathway plays a critical role in promoting enzalutamide resistance, and targeting this pathway could be a potential therapy for advanced prostate cancer.

Summary: The study aimed to elucidate the role and mechanism of circMMD in tumor treating fields (TTF) treatment of glioblastoma (GBM). The results showed that circMMD expression was elevated in GBM and high expression was associated with poor prognosis. TTF intervention reduced circMMD synthesis, suppressing GBM proliferation and increasing TTF-mediated apoptosis. The reduction of circMMD promoted the interaction between FUBP1 and FIR, leading to decreased DVL1 transcription. Additionally, decreased circMMD enhanced miR-15b-5p activity to degrade FZD6. Ultimately, the diminished expression of DVL1 and FZD6 suppressed the activation of Wnt/beta-catenin pathway.

Summary: In this paper, a novel Deconv-Transformer (DecT) network model is proposed for histopathological image recognition of breast cancer. The model achieves good classification results by incorporating color deconvolution and self-attention mechanism, and effectively utilizes the staining properties of histopathological images by combining RGB and HED color space images. The DecT model demonstrates excellent performance on multiple datasets.

Summary: Human Robinow syndrome and dominant omodysplasia type 2 are caused by heterozygous mutations in the Wnt receptor FZD2, which is associated with skeletal limb and craniofacial defects. Through studying a mice model, it was found that FZD2 mutations caused limb shortening and disruption of Wnt signaling pathways. These findings reveal the pathogenic role of FZD2 mutations in RS and OMOD2 patients.

Summary: This study investigated the interactions between ameloblastoma cells and osteoblasts. The results showed that ameloblastoma cells can induce inflammatory cytokine production in osteoblasts, and osteoblasts can accelerate the proliferation and migration activity of ameloblastoma cells. These intercellular signalings between the two cell types may play multiple roles in the pathogenesis of ameloblastoma.
