Summary: This study examines the effects of income aspiration and social and economic comparison on the life satisfaction of Turkish immigrants in the Netherlands. The results show a negative correlation between income aspiration level and life satisfaction, as well as lower life satisfaction among Turkish immigrants who perceive their living standards to be worse than Dutch natives.

Summary: This multicentre study examined and compared the characteristics of forensic psychiatric patients with schizophrenia spectrum disorders and a history of interpersonal violence to patients with the same diagnosis but no lifetime history of violence. The study found that forensic patients were more likely to have comorbid antisocial personality disorder and have experienced severe violence in childhood. Education and social functioning were found to be protective factors against future violence.

Stigma, patients' perceptions and understandings of CMDs, and the lack of prioritization of mental health in primary care were identified as barriers to help-seeking and engagement with services. The interaction between healthcare professionals and patients was considered crucial for accessing support.

Summary: The prevalence of psychological distress is lower among elderly informal caregivers (41.9%) compared to younger informal caregivers (52.6%) in four cities in the Netherlands. There is an association between insufficient sense of mastery and psychological distress among older caregivers, and this association remains even after controlling for other variables.
