Summary: Detecting and analyzing community structure in dynamic social networks is challenging, and combining users' interests and interactions can lead to meaningful community discovery. A static community detection algorithm is proposed using statistical and semantic measures to extract users' interests and detect communities through link analysis. An adaptive method is introduced to update community structure in response to network changes, showing high quality results compared to classical methods.

Summary: This paper proposes a method to identify terrorist Twitter profiles with high cyber social impact through semantic tweets analysis and mining techniques. By sampling cyber behaviors and using Social Networks Analysis (SNA) and Semi-Supervised Machine Learning (SSML) techniques, the top influencers are identified and user accounts are classified using machine learning classifier models. A node classification algorithm is used to identify key players within extremist communities, and standard classification metrics are used to evaluate the results.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of the Professional Learning Community (PLC) model on research-focused higher education institutions. The results show that the PLC model can facilitate collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovative teaching practices across departments and offices at the university, leading to additional research opportunities and grant applications. Participants value the diversity of the program, develop skills for their courses, and feel a sense of accountability. The study suggests that PLCs can empower faculty to develop innovative teaching practices and build capacity for research across institutions.

Summary: Temporal networks of face-to-face interactions provide insights into the dynamics of social systems. We propose a framework that combines observed interaction networks with underlying social bond networks, taking into account mechanisms such as triadic closure and shared social context. We compare different versions of the model with empirical data to understand the mechanisms that lead to realistic social temporal networks.

Summary: Researchers are exploring gender differences in science using a multidimensional approach, such as representing scientific communities as social networks and using data analytics and other methods. The evidence presented challenges common narratives about women's under-representation, suggesting that it is not due to limited skills or less social centrality.

Summary: Despite efforts to reduce opioid prescriptions and improve access to treatment, problem opioid use and overdoses are still a major public health concern. Instead of relying on traditional geographic boundaries, we propose using a social network-based approach to identify communities of providers who prescribe to the same set of patients, in order to target interventions more effectively.

Summary: This study investigated the recurring topics shared in a sustainable blended professional learning network (B-PLN) for EFL teachers in Taiwan. The findings revealed that teachers initially joined the B-PLN with low energy and a prominent need for competence, but their energy increased as their need for relatedness was satisfied. Ultimately, the B-PLN fostered collective vitality, engagement, empowerment, and positive emotions.

Summary: Two d(10) metal complexes with different structural architectures and interactions with lattice solvent methanol have been prepared. One complex shows reversible transformation by selectively eliminating lattice methanol, while the other complex undergoes reversible dissolution-recrystallization structural transformation by slow evaporation of methanol molecules. The hydrogen uptake of the polycatenated framework is found to be higher in gas sorption studies.

Summary: Adult learning is a lifelong and age-unrestricted phenomenon that aims to enhance life through improving skills, knowledge, and capabilities. The foundational theories of adult learning, such as andragogy theory, focus on the individual and the learning environment. Online communities of practice (OCOPs) have evolved to become specialized forums that facilitate collaboration among practitioners. This paper examines how environmental, personal, and behavioral factors shape engagement in OCOPs using social cognitive theory and presents a revised framework for adults' engagement in OCOPs.

Summary: This study examined the association between medication administration and the development of acute kidney injury (AKI). The results showed that medications known to reduce glomerular filtration rate (GFR) were associated with an increased risk of hospital-acquired AKI. Patients with potentially medication-related AKI had worse outcomes, including higher mortality rates and longer hospital stays.

Summary: This integrative review explores the psychological impact and sequelae of traumatic hand injuries. The findings suggest that depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder are common in patients with hand injuries. Factors such as injury severity, pain, limb dysfunction, negative perceptions, maladaptive coping mechanisms, and limited social support contribute to the psychological sequelae. Symptoms persist for a protracted period but generally attenuate after 3 months. Further research is urgently needed to optimize treatment.
