Summary: The study evaluated implementation fidelity of an Integrated Healthy Lifestyle Service through individual interviews and focus groups, finding mixed levels of fidelity across various domains. Stakeholders, staff, and clients noted high intervention receipt, but practitioners lacked formal training and personal development opportunities, leading to low confidence in delivering sessions and analyzing data. Top-down information dissemination within the service affected motivation and team morale. Results can be used to strengthen the design, delivery, and recruitment strategies of the IHLS.

Summary: This study evaluated the current state of health literacy (HL) among college students and explored the factors influencing HL, as well as the relationship between HL and health conditions. The majority of participants had problematic or unsatisfactory HL levels. Those with healthy lifestyles scored higher on HL, and higher HL levels were associated with better subjective health. Educational intervention programs for college students should be established to improve their HL levels.

Summary: This study demonstrates the important role that community-level healthy lifestyle programmes can have in knowledge-sharing and health promotion. The family-based assessment-and-intervention healthy lifestyle programme improved health knowledge and beliefs of children and families affected by obesity. Furthermore, the retention of this knowledge was confirmed over time. Participant beliefs around healthy lifestyles also gained greater depth and detail as the study progressed.

Summary: Recent intervention studies have focused on four health domains: multicomponent wellness programs, healthy diet interventions, physical activity interventions, and mental health/sleep interventions. Most studies across all categories showed positive associations between healthy lifestyle interventions and improved worker health. Further research is needed to include longer follow-up periods, more objective measures of wellbeing, evaluation of worker performance, and analogous interventions between studies to identify the most effective interventions to improve worker health and wellness.

Summary: Developing an adequate patient safety culture is a relevant objective for all health care levels. The Nursing Home Survey on Patient Safety Culture (NHSOPS) is a 12-dimension tool assessing safety culture in nursing homes for elder people. The results of this study suggest that the Spanish adaptation of NHSOPS can be represented by a 10-factor model. Convergent and divergent validity of the survey were supported, while known-groups validity was acceptable for managers and administrators who considered their NH to be a safe place for residents.

Summary: The development of a family-based interactive lifestyle intervention for adolescents at risk of T2D involved a multidisciplinary team from different countries collaborating to gather potential program topics and theoretical frameworks. Through two iterative cycles of piloting, feedback, and refinement, stakeholders were involved in decision-making regarding content and delivery, leading to the creation of an eight-session program tailored to local languages and adaptations. This approach could provide a flexible intervention method for 'at risk' groups and their families.

Summary: The study investigates the sociodemographic and clinical variables associated with COVID-19 severity in the Basque Country, Spain, finding that age, sex, patient healthcare complexity, chronic drug consumption, and other factors are closely related to severity. Older cases are more likely to experience severe outcomes, but factors such as sex, health status, and drug consumption may also interfere with and alter this relationship. Understanding these factors is crucial for designing and implementing public health intervention plans for the COVID-19 pandemic.

Summary: This study evaluated the health status and lifestyle habits of vulnerable older adults during the first COVID-19 lockdown in Spain. It found that there were difficulties in walking and reported sleep problems and pain among the participants, although many did not feel anxious/depressed or lonely. The study also identified a decline in functional capacity, worsening of nutritional status, but an increase in family support compared to a previous assessment.
