Summary: We evaluated the antimetastasis activity of Bisdemethoxycurcumin (BDMC) in human glioblastoma (GBM) cells and found that BDMC may have the potential to inhibit cell migration and invasion in GBM by suppressing key signaling pathways involved in cell proliferation, uptake, and motility.

Summary: The study revealed that the combination of oral aspirin and krill oil could significantly alleviate silica-induced pulmonary injury by reducing inflammatory cell accumulation, decreasing oxidative stress levels, and inhibiting the expression of inflammatory and fibrotic mediators. Additionally, this combination also showed a decrease in hydroxyproline content induced by silica and a clear restoration of lung architecture.

Summary: Bladder cancer is a common tumor with increasing incidence. Sulforaphane, a compound found in cruciferous plants, has shown promising anticancer effects against bladder cancer. It can inhibit the growth and metastasis of bladder cancer cells, as well as target bladder cancer stem cells through various molecular pathways.

Summary: The inhibition of NKILA in MCF-7 breast cancer cells leads to a significant increase in HSP90 and NF-kappa B/p105, NF-kappa B/p65, and NF-kappa B/p50 subunits, while the level of beta-catenin decreases. This suggests an association between the expression levels of HSP90 and beta-catenin with NKILA levels, potentially linked to the NF-kappa B pathway in MCF-7 cells. These findings have important implications for cancer cell development and future targeted therapy studies.

Summary: This study found that IQGAP1 is highly expressed in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and is positively correlated with MMP2 expression. IQGAP1 overexpression promotes the growth, migration, and invasion of ESCC cells, upregulates MMP2 expression, and increases NF-kappa B expression and nuclear localization. Treatment with PDTC or JSH-23 can reverse IQGAP1-mediated cell migration and invasion ability, as well as MMP2 expression.

Summary: The study demonstrates the beneficial role of beta-escin in muscle regeneration, especially in poorly regenerating slow-twitch muscles. The drug reduces inflammation, increases muscle fiber numbers, and decreases fibrosis. Additionally, beta-escin alters the transcription of muscle regeneration-related genes, promoting the recovery of injured muscles.

Summary: Metastasis is a pressing issue in breast cancer patients, with ECM remodeling playing a key role in cell migration. High levels of MMPs, particularly MMP-9, have been linked to aggressive tumors. Research suggests that CP treatment can reduce breast cancer cell survival, with downregulation of MMP-9 enhancing this effect through apoptosis induction. Combination therapy targeting MMP-9 alongside CP might improve treatment effectiveness. Additionally, a relationship between MMP-9 levels and cytokeratin 19 (CK19) has been confirmed.

Summary: This study found that a novel long noncoding RNA LINC02820 is upregulated in ESCC and is associated with the clinical stage of ESCC. Functional experiments showed that LINC02820 specifically promotes migration and invasion capabilities of ESCC cell lines. Mechanistically, it was found that LINC02820 may affect cytoskeletal remodeling, interact with SF3B3, and cooperate with TNFα to amplify the NF-kappa B signaling pathway, leading to ESCC metastasis.

Summary: The study investigated the role of cIAP2 in hepatocellular carcinoma, finding that high cIAP2 expression was associated with poor prognosis. Knocking down cIAP2 reduced cell proliferation, invasion, and NF-kappa B pathway activity. Animal experiments showed that cIAP2 knockdown reduced tumourigenicity and proliferation activity in liver cancer cells.

Summary: In this study, the efficacy of Gypensapogenin H (GH) in the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) was evaluated. The results showed that GH inhibited TNBC proliferation and migration by regulating the PI3K/AKT/NF-kappa B/MMP-9 signaling pathway. These findings provide important clues for further investigation of the mechanism of action of GH.
