Summary: The majority of recently migrated women in urban Oslo, Norway were satisfied with maternity care, but factors such as having a Norwegian partner, higher education, and good Norwegian language comprehension were associated with greater odds of being dissatisfied with care. One-third of women did not understand the information provided by healthcare personnel during maternity care. Women with refugee backgrounds were more likely to feel treated differently due to factors such as religion, language, and skin color, compared to women who migrated for family reunification.

Summary: This study aimed to describe migration patterns and their association with reproductive and maternal care among married Pakistani women aged 15-49. The findings suggest that internal migration, particularly to urban areas, could be associated with better access to reproductive and maternity care. However, after adjusting for sociodemographic inequalities, this association is greatly attenuated. Therefore, policy reform and women's rights advocacy are needed to improve education levels for young Pakistani girls.

Summary: This study measured the readiness of health facilities in Papua New Guinea to provide obstetric care and other maternal health services. The results showed that many facilities, especially at the lower levels, were not able to provide basic emergency obstetric care. To improve access to obstetric care, it is necessary to upgrade level 3 and 4 facilities to at least basic emergency obstetric care providers, and an optimal geographic location approach can be used to identify facilities that need to be upgraded.

Region-specific or even hospital-specific reference caesarean delivery rates are needed for precision management.
