Summary: The phenyl and 1-methyl derivative of 3-methyl-5-pyrazolone were prepared quantitatively via a scalable solvent-free reaction of the corresponding hydrazine derivative with ethyl acetoacetate. Different mechanisms were proposed for the reaction of hydrazine derivatives (methyl or phenyl) with ethyl acetoacetate and the tautomeric aspects of the targeted compounds were discussed.

Summary: An eco-friendly biocatalyst was constructed through three steps, resulting in the synthesis of aminated starch and the fabrication of magnetic biocatalyst. The biocatalyst was used for the synthesis of 4-[(indol-3-yl)-arylmethyl]-1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone derivatives, which showed high yields and fast reaction times. The anticancer activity of the derivatives was evaluated, and the recovery of the biocatalyst was studied.

Summary: This study presents a simple, rapid, and sensitive method for electrochemical detection of dopamine using 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-orthofluorobenzoyl-5-pyrazolone/multiwalled carbon nanotube carbon paste electrode. Cyclic voltammetry and square wave voltammetry were used to investigate the electrochemical behavior of dopamine. HPMoFBP/MWCNT showed enhanced electrocatalytic activity for dopamine oxidation compared to bare MWCNT. The sensor exhibited good linearity between electrical response and dopamine concentration in the range of 1 to 1000 mu M, with a limit of detection of 1.0 x 10-7 M.

In this study, a new compound's antibacterial activity was investigated using theoretical computations and molecular docking methods, and its absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity profiles were predicted using computer simulations.
