Summary: Digital stress refers to the stress and anxiety caused by notifications and alerts from mobile and social media usage. Recent studies suggest that digital stress may help explain the effects of social media usage on psychological and behavioral outcomes. The Digital Stress Scale (DSS) is a reliable measure of digital stress. This study translated the DSS into Chinese and examined its psychometric properties among Chinese young adults. The results showed that the DSS can be best represented by a bifactor Exploratory Structural Equation Modeling (bifactor-ESEM) solution, which includes a general factor of digital stress and five specific factors: Availability Stress, Approval Anxiety, Fear of Missing Out, Connection Overload, and Online Vigilance. The measurement and structural invariance of the bifactor-ESEM solution were demonstrated across male and female groups. The DSS demonstrated high reliability and convergent validity with measures of psychological stress, depression, and mindfulness.

Summary: In this study, the painDETECT questionnaire was successfully translated and cross-culturally adapted into Malay for use in Malaysia. The most common class of analgesia prescribed for patients with neuropathic pain was anti-convulsants, while co-analgesic therapy including NSAIDs and COX-2 inhibitors was the most prescribed for patients with nociceptive pain. The questionnaire can be completed within approximately 7 minutes, and it was found that smoking and female gender had an impact on the results among patients with neuropathic pain.

Summary: The varying public views on cannabis use across countries could explain the differences in prevalence, policies, and research. The findings show inconsistent reporting of cannabis use, variations in policies, and different intervention strategies across the countries reviewed. European countries have more cannabis research output than Asian countries. The existing heterogeneities in policies and epidemiology could increase the burden of cannabis use disorders disproportionately and unpredictably. It is crucial to develop global strategies to improve early detection, prevention, and interventions for cannabis use and related disorders.
