Summary: The present study aimed to translate and adapt the PoDLiS and evaluate its psychometric properties in Chinese perinatal women. The results showed that the Chinese version of the PoDLiS (PoDLiS-C) demonstrated good internal consistency, test-retest reliability, and content validity. Confirmatory factor analysis confirmed its satisfactory construct validity. Therefore, the PoDLiS-C can be used to assess the postpartum depression literacy of perinatal women in Chinese-speaking populations.

Summary: This study investigated the postpartum depression literacy and its associated factors among Chinese perinatal women. The findings showed that the total score of postpartum depression literacy among this group was 3.56. The multiple regression analysis revealed that planned pregnancy condition, education, history of depression, social support, self-efficacy, and complications were the factors influencing postpartum depression literacy. These results contribute to a better understanding of postpartum depression literacy and its associated factors among perinatal women.

Summary: Postpartum women with heightened depressive symptoms are influenced by individual, social, and physical environmental factors when it comes to physical activity, while screen time is mainly influenced by individual and social factors. Targeted intervention strategies focusing on individual and social factors may be particularly important for this high-risk group.

Summary: This cross-sectional survey aimed to explore the categories and characteristics of maternal postpartum depression literacy. The study found three categories of maternal postpartum depression literacy: low literacy, moderate literacy, and high literacy. Factors such as work status, education level, pregnancy planning, participation in mental health-related courses, and family functioning status were found to influence the category of maternal postpartum depression literacy. It is important for medical staff to implement targeted interventions based on the category characteristics and influencing factors to improve postpartum depression literacy.

Summary: Postpartum depression is a common mental health issue among women of child-bearing age in resource-poor countries. A study conducted in southern Nepal found that one-third of postpartum mothers experienced depressive symptoms, with factors such as low family income, husband's migration for employment, long distance to health facilities, delivery by cesarean section, inadequate antenatal care, and unplanned pregnancy being associated with higher odds of depressive symptoms.

Summary: Obesity in pregnant women is on the rise globally, impacting the health of both mother and baby. Adequate health literacy is essential for pregnant women to translate general health information into personalized healthy behavior, navigate complex digital systems, and critically evaluate conflicting information. Person-centered differentiation in antenatal care organization may benefit vulnerable pregnant women with inadequate health literacy.

Summary: This study aimed to assess the feasibility of family paediatricians identifying the signs of postpartum depression in parents to ensure child well-being. The results showed that 19.9% of mothers, 6.3% of fathers, and 5% of couples reported depressive symptoms. Maternal postnatal depressive symptoms were associated with diagnosed psychiatric disorders during pregnancy, non-exclusive breastfeeding at hospital discharge, and child sleeping disorders at 3 and 6 months. Being a first-time parent was also a significant predictor of postpartum depression. For fathers, the only significant association was between depressive symptoms and child sleeping disorders at 3 months. Having a likely depressed partner was strongly associated with depressive symptoms in fathers.

Summary: The study found that maternal depression one year after childbirth is significantly associated with material hardship, household poverty, and unemployment in the long term. Trajectory modeling showed that maternal depression increases the likelihood of being in high-risk trajectories for material hardship and household poverty, as well as a high-declining risk trajectory for unemployment. Supporting perinatal mental health is crucial for improving the economic well-being of childbearing individuals and preventing the intergenerational transmission of adversity.

Summary: People aging with disability and people of retirement age rely on their respective states to follow the principles of independent living (IL) to maintain self-sufficiency and a high quality of life. This study analyzed funded state plans to determine which ones promote the IL philosophies of consumer choice and control. The results showed disparities across states, with only about half clearly promoting consumer control initiatives and three states involving people with disability in plan development. This paper provides guidance for nursing organizations advocating for person-centered approaches for people with disability.

Summary: This study aimed to explore the impact of fatigue as a mediator and sleep quality as a moderator on stress and depressive symptoms in people with visual impairments. A total of 155 participants completed an online survey, and data was analyzed using R software. The results showed that sleep quality positively predicted fatigue levels and fatigue positively predicted depressive symptoms. It was concluded that sleep quality plays a crucial role in the psychological well-being of people with visual impairments.
