Summary: This study found no significant differences in quadriceps flexibility, strength, muscle activation time, and patient-reported outcomes between patients with patellofemoral pain who had inflexible quadriceps performing static or dynamic quadriceps stretching exercises. Therefore, both static and dynamic stretching exercises may be equally effective in improving pain and function in this patient population.

Summary: This study compares the effects of standard warm-up versus warm-up using stretching exercises on the physical performance of male youth soccer players. The results show that stretching-based warm-up has no effect on jump height, sprint speed, and ball kicking speed of male youth soccer players compared to standard warm-up.

Summary: This study compares electrophysiological and ultrasonographic findings in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, showing a good correlation between the two methods. It also identifies a possible site of anatomical entrapment in the narrowing of median nerve CSA at 1-2 cm distal to the distal wrist crease.

Summary: This study found that 12 weeks of high-volume static stretching training can increase ankle dorsiflexion, muscle fascicle length, and cross-sectional area in adolescent female volleyball players, leading to improvements in jump performance.

Summary: Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is a common entrapment neuropathy caused by compression of the median nerve in the carpal tunnel. Surgical management is more effective for moderate to severe and severe CTS. Knowledge of normal anatomy and variations can improve the success rate of surgery. This study aims to present different accessory muscles diagnosed during CTS surgery through a systematic review of the literature and a case presentation.

Summary: This systematic review examined the exercise programs for treating patellofemoral pain and found that current exercises are often simplistic and lack task-specific elements to address key pathomechanics associated with the condition. The majority of exercises were found to be sagittal plane, concentric, non-weight bearing exercises, while multiplanar and weightbearing exercises were under-represented. The authors suggest a need for more complex and task-specific exercise programs for treating patellofemoral pain.

Summary: The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of different body positions and humeral abduction angles on shoulder muscle activity during ER exercises. The findings suggest that body positions and angles can affect muscle activity, which has implications for restoring muscle imbalances.

Summary: This study investigated the ROM profiles of lower extremities in elite futsal players, finding significant gender differences in hip and knee joint ROM values, with females having higher values. Additionally, a portion of male players and those from teams in the second division showed restricted ROMs. The study also identified bilateral asymmetries in a percentage of players' hip and knee ROMs.

Summary: A multimodal sensor glove was developed to quantify the severity of Parkinson's disease symptoms in patients' hands and assess the hands' multifunctionality. Various algorithms were used to analyze the signals, accurately identify and classify tremor signals, and achieve consistency with clinical observations. The glove can be applied to rehabilitation treatments and improve hand recovery efficiency.
