Summary: Although computer vision syndromes are a major public health concern, there is less emphasis on them, especially in developing countries. This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to estimate the pooled prevalence of computer vision syndrome. A total of 45 studies were included in the final meta-analysis, and the pooled prevalence of computer vision syndrome was found to be 66% (95% CI: 59, 74).

Summary: The prevalence of myopia in African school children is increasing, with an overall rate of 4.7%. The prevalence is slightly higher in females and older children (12-18 years) but the differences are not significant. The use of cycloplegic refraction is associated with a significantly lower prevalence of myopia compared to non-cycloplegic refraction.

Summary: In general, the prevalence of "food addiction" in children and adolescents is about 15%, with approximately 12% in community samples and 19% in overweight/obese samples. Meta-regression showed that weight status is related to the severity of food addiction and marginally associated with prevalence. Healthcare providers should be aware of and address the high prevalence of food addiction among the pediatric population.

Summary: This study determined the prevalence of primary multidrug-resistant Helicobacter pylori (MDR H. pylori) in children through a comprehensive systematic literature review and meta-analysis. The results revealed that the global spread of MDR H. pylori strains significantly limits the options of anti-H. pylori treatment regimens, and the frequency of primary MDR H. pylori infection varies between different geographical regions.
