Summary: We report a case of a patient with Buerger's disease presenting with nephrotic syndrome. The kidney biopsy revealed focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and a small renal infarction associated with Buerger's disease. Treatment with an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor improved the patient's hypertension and proteinuria.

Summary: This study investigated the interaction between IL-17 and HMGB1 in Buerger's disease patients, finding higher levels of inflammatory cytokines and pathogenic Th cells in these patients. It was observed that ADAM10 regulates the interaction between IL-17 and HMGB1 via the RAGE/NF-kappa B pathway in Buerger's disease patients.

Summary: This study presents clinical experience in the treatment of thromboangitis obliterans (TAO) with endovascular revascularisation. The results demonstrate that endovascular revascularisation has favorable outcomes, improving CLI-free rates and limb-salvage rates in TAO patients.

Summary: Thromboangiitis obliterans is a segmental and progressive disease involving inflammation, thrombosis and re-canalisation of medium- and small-sized arteries and veins. The disease is globally prevalent, with smoking being the most significant risk factor. The diagnosis is challenging and treatment options are not fully standardised by well-proven randomised case control studies.

Summary: This study aimed to quantitatively define the accuracy and reliability of information on YouTube regarding Buerger's Disease (BD). A systematic search of YouTube was conducted and 50 videos related to BD were analyzed. The results revealed poor completeness and reliability of the information presented on YouTube about BD. Therefore, it is recommended that medical professionals, especially doctors, should upload more up-to-date and comprehensive videos.

Summary: TAO, also known as Buerger's disease, is a rare non-atherosclerotic inflammatory vasculopathy that mainly affects small and medium-sized arteries in the distal extremities. It primarily occurs in young male smokers and is characterized by extremity pain due to ischemia, which can progress to ulceration, gangrene, and amputation. Involvement of the reproductive system is rare.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate acute phase reactant proteins in patients with Buerger's disease (BD) compared to controls. The results showed that the levels of several proteins were significantly higher in BD patients, indicating a probable systemic inflammatory disorder. Further clinical trials are needed to evaluate the efficacy of anti-inflammatory medications in managing BD. A protein-rich diet may be beneficial for BD patients in the active phase of their disease.

Summary: Leprosy with vascular involvement is rare and often goes under-reported. Previous studies have shown that vascular abnormality is central to the development of trophic ulcers and nerve damage in leprosy. This case report highlights a 37-year-old male with pain, bluish discoloration, and recurrent ulcers on his hands and feet, which were found to be associated with diminished caliber of the brachial artery. Further investigations confirmed primary neuritic leprosy, suggesting that vascular involvement can rarely be a primary event in leprosy and lead to Buerger's disease-like manifestations.

Summary: Postoperative skin necrosis can occur due to various factors, including infections, lack of oxygenation, underlying diseases, and lack of nutrition. In this case, a patient developed postoperative skin necrosis after undergoing disarticulation of the interphalangeal joint. Thorough evaluation revealed the underlying cause to be thromboangiitis obliterans, also known as Buerger's disease. With appropriate treatment and smoking cessation, the wound healed without complications or recurrence within 4 months. Therefore, Buerger's disease should be considered as a potential cause in young, heavy smoking patients with untreatable chronic wounds.

Summary: This case study presents a 16-year-old male with Buerger's disease (BD) characterized by arterial insufficiency of the left foot, with a history of smoking cigarettes and cannabis. Hemato-oncologists should consider BD as a differential diagnosis in adolescents with vascular insufficiency of the hands and/or feet who have a history of smoking.

Summary: In this study, SMI and PDU were used to evaluate corkscrew collaterals in 14 patients with Buerger's disease. The results showed that SMI provided superior demonstration of the vessel continuity compared to traditional power Doppler imaging, and is a promising technique for identifying corkscrew collaterals.
