Summary: This study investigates the differential pricing in a dual-channel supply chain, finding that the total profit of the supply chain is better in a centralized decision scenario, along with higher customer value in both channels. Under separate pricing, the manufacturer's profit is larger while the online retail platform's profit is smaller. Value-added services play an important role in maximizing the profit of the online retail platform and customer value.

Summary: Customer value is crucial in maintaining competitive advantages in the retail industry, influenced by factors like product price and innovation. Revenue sharing contracts are ineffective in coordinating the supply chain in a non-cooperative game, but a unique equilibrium can be found through Nash bargaining, leading to optimal consumer surplus.

Summary: The paper discusses revenue management with patient customers and their valuation characteristics from a joint learning and optimization perspective. New dynamic programming formulations and nontrivial learning algorithms are introduced, analyzing decreasing cyclic policies and threshold-regulated policies, with learning algorithms converging to optimal strategies at a near-optimal rate. The proposed algorithms perform significantly better than benchmark algorithms, highlighting the importance of smart learning in data-driven decision-making. Combining algorithms with smart estimation methods can significantly improve their empirical performance, emphasizing the practical viability of the algorithms.

Summary: We present evidence from an experiment on a sharing economy marketplace that transitions from decentralized to centralized pricing. Centralized pricing leads to increased asset utilization and higher revenues, but also higher transaction costs. Providers who are prohibited from using the priced system make non-price adjustments, such as reducing asset availability, canceling booked transactions, and exiting the market. Providers who retain partial pricing control have smaller reactions but similar revenue increases. We emphasize the challenges of implementing centralized pricing and evaluating its welfare effects.

Summary: This paper examines a revenue management problem where a retailer makes joint pricing and ordering decisions for a single product over two selling periods, investigating the impact of reference effect (RE) and quick replenishment (QR) policies on customer behavior, retailer decisions, and total profit. Results show that implementing the QR policy can significantly improve profit by reducing initial order quantity, especially with strong RE and high storage costs. Ignoring customer RE may lead to lower prices, fewer orders, and reduced profit, especially for luxury products or RE-sensitive customers.

Summary: This paper examines retailers' pricing decisions and strategies in response to customer strategic behavior in the luxury market. The study finds that customer conspicuous behavior can influence retailers' choices in providing quick response or value-added services. Quick response may lead to high pricing while value-added services might inhibit it. Additionally, customer conspicuous behavior can motivate retailers to provide quick response but inhibit their value-added services.

Summary: This research investigates customers’ reactions to exchanges in retailing contexts where they have complete control over the final price. The study finds that despite customers’ positive attitudes towards participative pricing strategies, delegating price-setting control to customers can decrease purchase intentions and actual purchases. These effects are mediated by perceived pricing effort and moderated by customer fatigue level.

Summary: This paper presents the design approaches of overlapping-mode extended interaction klystrons (EIKs) to meet the requirements for broadband terahertz power amplifiers. By operating the cavities in multiple-cavity modes, the overlapping-mode EIKs can provide high output power over a wider frequency band. The circuit characteristics of the overlapping-mode EIKs are studied, and a six-cavity EIK operating at 0.34 THz is designed to demonstrate its broadband output capability.

Summary: Recent analysis focuses on the impacts of fabrication errors by directly analyzing multi-dimensional uncertainties from geometrical tolerances, presenting a general pattern for multi-dimensional geometric uncertainty analysis in field characteristics. Using artificial neural networks to quickly grasp the cost surface and act as fast interfaces, Monte Carlo analysis is effective for simulating actual probabilistic distributions through large-volume sampling on neural networks. The data-driven perspective allows for analyzing variations of geometrical parameters as a whole from the perspective of distribution, thus enabling dynamic analysis of field characteristics and geometrical parameters.

The design features a wide-band element that provides a low transmission loss and a dual-beam phase matching method to reduce scan loss. The measured results demonstrate a low scan loss (<1.8 dB) and a wide scan coverage (+/- 40 degrees) for the transmitarray antenna, with low side lobe levels and a 1-dB gain bandwidth of 21%.

Summary: This letter presents a multibeam folded transmitarray antenna based on an improved phase matching method. A Ku-band magneto-electric dipole antenna is designed as the primary source for the proposed antenna. In addition, a Fabry-Perot metasurface with high transmission efficiency is proposed. Finally, a multibeam folded transmitarray antenna is designed, simulated, fabricated, and measured. By exciting different ports, the proposed antenna achieves a +/- 25 degrees scanning range. The impedance bandwidth is 14%, and the measured peak gain is 23.5 dBi, which means the aperture efficiency is about 17.8%. Measured results show that the proposed antenna achieves a good multibeam performance while maintaining a low profile.

Summary: This paper presents an RF design of a biperiodic multimode interaction circuit for G-band extended interaction klystron (EIK) to overcome the bandwidth limitation of conventional EIK operating in a single mode. The operating modes of the input and output cavities are chosen as the p-mode and its adjacent ladder mode. The effect of beam loading and the presence of the waveguide port on the cavity characteristics of the output cavity operating in the multiple modes are investigated.

Summary: A new ridge-loaded cavity structure with unequal-length slots is proposed to improve the bandwidth performance in extended interaction klystrons(EIKs). This structure is driven by double sheet beams and exhibits a large efficiency bandwidth product. Compared to the previously designed ridge-loaded structure, it operates in the longitudinal p-mode instead of the longitudinal 2p-mode and has a larger characteristic impedance and smaller unloaded quality factor. It was designed as the idler cavity for a six-cavity circuit, and the simulation results predicted a maximum in-band output power of 275 W and a 3-dB bandwidth of 3.15 GHz, which expands the bandwidth by 750 MHz compared to the control circuit in the same operating conditions. The corresponding planar double sheet beams electron-optical system is also presented.
