Summary: This article reports a case of intraoral angiosarcoma with an uncommon clinical presentation and behavior, and describes, to the best of our knowledge, the first primary appendix epithelioid angiosarcoma with metastasis in the oral cavity. The clinical, histological, and immunohistochemical features of this unusual case of intraoral angiosarcoma are discussed.

Summary: Uterine mesenchymal tumors are a diverse group of tumors that are challenging to diagnose. Thorough investigations and histopathological findings are crucial for accurate diagnosis and timely treatment. Leiomyosarcoma is a rare uterine malignancy typically seen in postmenopausal women with abnormal uterine bleeding. In this case report, a 57-year-old menopausal female presented with a large abdominal swelling infiltrating adjacent structures. The resection and histopathological evaluation confirmed the diagnosis of epithelioid leiomyosarcoma with immunohistochemical evidence.

Summary: Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is a neurodegenerative disorder with various manifestations, including the rare presentation of progressive gait freezing (PGF). Two patients with freezing of gait as the initial symptom of PSP-PGF were described, with one meeting PSP-PGF criteria and the other meeting possible PSP with progressive gait freezing criteria according to the movement disorders society-PSP criteria. The study highlights the broad spectrum of symptoms in PSP-PGF and emphasizes that freezing of backward gait may represent an unusual manifestation of atypical parkinsonism.

Summary: The study shows that tattoo allergy cannot be reliably diagnosed with current knowledge through patch testing. The weak penetration and slow haptenization of pigments, unavailability of pigments as test allergens, and lack of knowledge regarding relevant epitopes hinder the diagnosis of tattoo allergy. Sensitization to metals is associated with various tattoo complications, but may not be clinically relevant. The absence of binders and industrial biocides in ink declarations highlights the need for patch testing. The effectiveness of banning Pigment Green 7 and Pigment Blue 15:3 in the EU remains unsubstantiated by the presented data.

Summary: This retrospective study investigated the prevalence and associated factors of thyroid disorders in patients with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). The results showed a 12% prevalence of thyroid disorders and 10.7% prevalence of hypothyroidism in HS patients. Factors associated with thyroid disorders included BMI≥25, asthma, and non-smoking/ex-smoking. Logistic regression analysis revealed that asthma and non-smoking were the only factors associated with thyroid disorders or hypothyroidism among HS patients.
